THE ONLY BEGOTTEN WORD=(HE)(HE IS A SPIRITUAL TITLE OF AUTHORITY) THE ONLY BEGOTTEN WORD(HE) CAME THROUGH THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD (JESUS)
John 1:17-18
17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
18 No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
John 12:49-50
49 "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
50 "And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."
Heb 8:6
6 But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.
John 17:17
17 "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
I Jn 1:1-3
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life--
2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us--
3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
John 1:14
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1-11
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him.
11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.
Heb 4:12-13
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
2 Pet 1:19-21
19 And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts;
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,
21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
Mark 16:15-16
15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
John 14:26
26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
John 6:63
63 "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
2 Cor 3:5-6
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God,
6 who also made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Matt 6:22-24
22 "The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 "But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
2Pet 3:16-17
16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
17 You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;
II Jn 1:9-11
9 Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son.
10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet him;
11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
Rev 22:18-19
18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
I Jn 1:1-5
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life--
2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us--
3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.
5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
I Jn 2:23-24
23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
24 Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.
John 10:8-9
8 "All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them.
9 "I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
Heb 8:13
13 In that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.
(NKJ)
The Word of God is the power by which all things in heaven and earth submit. The Word came forth from God for all to receive this power. And the power was always given through a mediator. God was the original mediator that created it. Then the Word was given to the Holy Spirit that distributes it from each individuals conscience(book of beliefs) in their mind. If and only if that individual has read the bible and put it in their beliefs(conscience). And when an individual has died to self by following the Holy Spirit(verses) and been born again. Then Jesus takes over the Word through the revelations of Jesus Christ, and rewrites their belief system(conscience). The Word of God is the power that all will have to answer to. This power is what justifies or condemns all and everything. God created it the power, and is willing to share it with those who will submit to it. Jesus was the first to submit to it on earth fully, and by that He was our example of how to receive it. When one totally submits to it the power(Word) the Word becomes alive in them. And by becoming alive in them we see the Word become flesh.
Note in verse 14 He the Word is full of grace and truth. And in verse 17 that grace and truth came through Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is not the Word. Jesus Christ is the human that submitted to the Word as an example to us, to follow. Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. That the only begotten Word of God came through.

2 Cor 10:3-5
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Holy Spirit

I get them from the Holy Spirit when I go into meditation. I have been receiving them for over 15 years now. I have received over 1500 of them on any given subject in the Word of God.
Do you know yet that the Holy Spirit only quotes verses?

John 14:26
26 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

I'm still waiting.

I added the quote marks so you could see the unbroken statement from He who says He is first and last, and also says He is He who lives, and was dead, and is alive forevermore. Clearly, this is Jesus. Clearly, Jesus says He is first and last (protos kai eschatos), which is exactly the same as Alpha and Omega.

He said that He is God- just that simple.

I said
That is talking about Jesus and He is the first and the last of the new testament. God is the Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end of this world as we know it.
I notice you do alot of assuming with your understanding.

Rev 22:13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." Rev 22:14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
Rev 22:15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
Rev 22:16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."

Is that clear enough for you Squeakybro? Who did you say the Alpha and Omega was? Your revelations, if they are revelations at all, are not of God.

John 17:1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
John 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Who is speaking here

God, in the flesh, had the devine mission, that of a perfect sacrifice by Jewish law, the Law of Moses, to offer the free gift of salvation to all who would believe on Him. We are not worthy by works or otherwise to be in the presence of God so God in His wisdom came to us instead, through Christ Jesus.

John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?

You said:
We are to live by and follow the example of what was said before the resurrection.

We live for, have faith in and follow the risen Christ. For had He not risen then Jesus would not have been the Christ. To say we are to ignore what was said after the ressurection is to invalidate His devine work on the cross. Had He NOT risen there would be no hope or cause to profess Jesus as The Christ. Your words are exactly what Satan would have us to do, to keep our eyes away from the cross, away from the saving work of Christ on the cross... to go back to the way it was before Christ died, was buried and rose again.
Had He NOT risen He would have been just a man.

It says Jesus spoke these words. Very simple isnt it. Who did He say them to , and said:"Father". You havent answered my question correctly yet.

John 17:1

1 Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: "Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You,
(NKJ)

Of course Jesus said these words. And yes Christ addressed the Father. And why not? Christ, the Word, became flesh and dwelt among us.
John 1:14
Christ was in the flesh, on earth, apart from the Father in heaven. He set aside His crown of power and glory to become like one of us.

2Co 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

He humbled himself that we may be saved through His sacrifice on the cross.

Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Heb 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Heb 2:11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Heb 2:12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Heb 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Heb 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.

Since you are unwilling to accept the trinity you view any answer referencing the trinity as "incorrect". Regardless, I've answered your question. Though you don't accept the answer. And you may never accept it. Yet, the answer has been given. Now reply to mine as you see fit. At least make the attempt.

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

OK Squeaky
Who spoke the words of Rev 22:13??

Well at that time seeing as how Jesus was in heaven, it was either Jesus or God. God is the beginning and end of all creation. And Jesus is the beginning and the end of the new testament.

Squeakybro said:

How can you not know?
I don't think it's difficult to show by scripture who it is that is coming.

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Revelation 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

Revelation 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Revelation 22:20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Rev 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

And who will be the judge of men.

John 5:22 For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

Jesus said these words in Rev 22:13 Squeaky.

you said
.
Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

I said
Alpha and Omega just means the first and the last.

Rev 22:13-14
13 "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last."
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
(NKJ)

And Everything Jesus spoke while on earth was exactly what the Father told Him to say.

John 12:48-50
48 "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him-- the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
49 "For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak.
50 "And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak."
(NKJ)

Jesus didnt even speak on His own authority. This is where people get confused. This is where they get deceived. When Jesus went to heaven things changed alittle . Was Jesus saying what the Father told Him to or was He now speaking on His own authority. In the Word I have seen so many get mixed up on the "He's" and the "Him's" .
I know there is only one guaranteed message and that has to come from the Holy Spirit and He only quotes verses.

Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Rev 1:11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia; unto Ephesus, and unto Smyrna, and unto Pergamos, and unto Thyatira, and unto Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Laodicea.

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

Where is the distinction made? It's not. Those statements are made with no condition, no distinction whatever. The addition of the words "of the new testament" to "the first and the last" are your own.

I've heard the same thing being done in Salt Lake City, conditions added, with no scripture to back the addition of the phrase" ... after all we can do" to "we are saved by grace" as in Eph 2:8
And again the addition of "... in purpose" is added to "I and my Father are one" as in John 10:30
Those additions are taught by the LDS church to support a non-christian, non-scriptual doctrine.

God said He is the Alpha and the Omega. Jesus said He is the Alpha and the Omega.

Also, Jesus was there at the beginning of creation, not just at the time of the new testament.
John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

I also find it difficult to believe your "revelations" are from God since you didn't know who spoke the words of Rev 22:13, a simple look at the previous verse would have told you this.

Squeakybro said:
...it was either Jesus or God.

Mat 21:25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say unto us, Why did ye not then believe him?
Mat 21:26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet.
Mat 21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.

Because of them revelation I have learned not to be quick to just believe anything.
Look I know these revelations go right over alot of peoples heads. But that doesnt change the fact that I have to share them. They are the Word of God not just someones interpretation or imagination. The problem is I have seen them all work. And I understand that you and others havent seen any of them work.
But why is any of us on the boards??? To share the spiritual experiances that we have been through. This is what I have been through. In 25 years I have never found anyone that could refute them. That is amazing.

Joseph Smith's Official First Vision Account

Sometime in the second year after our removal to Manchester, there was in the place where we lived an unusual excitement on the subject of religion. It commenced with the Methodists, but soon became general among all the sects in that region of country ... and great multitudes united themselves to the different religious parties .... Some were contending for the Methodist faith, some for the Presbyterian, and some for the Baptist ... my mind became somewhat partial to the Methodist sect ... but so great were the confusion and strife among the different denominations, that it was impossible ... to come to any certain conclusion who was right, and who was wrong .... So in accordance with this, my determination to ask of God, I retired to the woods to make the attempt. It was on the morning of a beautiful, clear day, early in the spring of eighteen hundred and twenty ... I kneeled down and began to offer up the desires of my heart to God .... I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head .... When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description .... One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other 'This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!' .... I asked the Personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right, (for at this time it had never entered into my heart that all were wrong) and which I should join. I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong .... I soon found, however, that my telling the story had excited a great deal of prejudice against me among professors [believers] of religion, and was the cause of great persecution, which continued to increase; and though I was an obscure boy, only between fourteen and fifteen years of age ... yet men of high standing would take notice sufficient to excite the public mind against me, and create a bitter persecution; and this was common among all the sects all united to persecute me.

Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith - History 1:5-8, 14-19, 22

Of course not. But the others will. We lowly uninspired people are like that I suppose.
