Revised - Satan's Only True Lie - Lots More Good Stuff

Many times in the bible it tells of Jesus Christ rebuking Satan, and his evil spirits, into silence. So why didn't God rebuke Satan into silence when he told the lie to Eve that she would not die if she ate of the forbidden fruit? The answer lies in God's ability to foresee the future. When God created the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he knew that he would have to send his son to die for man's sin and rescue him from that promised death due to man's disobedience. So while Satan thought he was spreading his lie to Eve to get her to sin he was actually glorifying God by showing that, through Satan's own lie and Eve's sin, God would intervene and prevent man's (but not Satan's) ultimate death, that is an existence without God forever in hell!

Satan was therefore actually telling the truth with his lie all the while he was completely ignorant of that fact. Satan deluded himself into thinking he was God but he could not even tell that his lie would ultimately be the truth. So why do people still believe that Satan is this all powerful spiritual being capable of defeating God! Satan, in his very first sin in the Garden of Eden, was shown to the fool and fraud that he really is!

God Bless
note:
Many churches, and individuals, are suffering from God's rebuke into silence. Consider that Satan appeared to Eve as a serpent. Satan could not appear to Eve as a man, or even as another woman, for he had become evil and God will not allow his image to be used for evil. Satan feared instant judgment if he took on the image of God himself for God will not allow evil to masquerade as goodness (which is why there is judgment and hell - for man was created in the image of God and God abhors the use of his image to do evil). Which means that when churches, and individuals, advocate the evil of abortion, homosexuality, divorce, unwed copulation, etc. these churches, and individuals, governments, businesses, etc, will be rebuked into silence by God. Meaning that they will dwindle into obscurity with declining attendance (population, customers, etc.) and loss of prosperity.

Also remember that in the Garden of Eden (Paradise), where God walked with man, that no lie could ever be uttered. Therefore God permitted Satan's lie knowing that ultimately it would be the truth only after God's own son would have to die on the cross for our sins.

Satan also could not bring a falsehood into the Garden of Eden, meaning that he could not appear as a man or a woman, for God created man in God's own image. This meant that Satan was admitting that he was not, in fact, God. If Satan truly believed he was God, or deserved to be God, he would have appeared as a man and not a serpent– since man had the image of God! Truth be told Satan fears God!

Once again I can't fathom why people would glorify Satan and his evil cohorts when even Satan didn't have courage to take on the image of God, ie man, in the Garden of Eden! Satan had the ambition to attempt to lie about God to Eve but he didn't have the courage to lie about himself and appear in the Garden in the image of God, ie man. Satan knew that appearing in the Garden of Eden in the image of God would be a lie for Satan knew he was no God. God exposed the lie of Satan's evil for all to see in the Garden of Eden. To glorify Satan is to glorify a fraud and a coward!

What Satan really wanted to know was, would God be willing to condemn himself if he sinned? Here we had man created in God's image and he sinned and God condemned him. Then God had his sinless son Jesus Christ become man and he condemned him in order to forgive us for our sins and save us from death. So yes, Satan and all the angels learned that God would indeed condemn himself if he alone sinned.

Satan told two lies. That Eve would not die and Eve would become God. As already discussed Eve would not truly die for death consists of two parts, the flesh and spirit. God created the flesh first and then breathed the breath of life into man giving man his spirit. For total death to take place both the flesh and spirit must die. But it is clear that when we die only the flesh passes away and the spirit continues on. For the spirit belongs to God, it is God's breath of life. Satan believed that death included both flesh and spirit together. But death meant only the flesh first, the spirit was to suffer its own death (the second death) at the final judgment. Satan's second lie was that Eve would become God. Instead it was God who had to become man in order to save him. Even Satan's second lie turned out to be true!

So both of Satan's lies turned out to be true. First Eve would not die because God's son Jesus Christ (God become man) would become man and die for us which allowed our spirit to remain viable and placed in a new body to live an eternal existence with God in heaven. The second lie turned out to be a misplacement of deity. It was God who became man and not man becoming God.

When Jesus Christ was crucified between two thieves one represented man's spirit that wanted to live an existence with God in heaven. The other thief represented our flesh that wanted no part of salvation and instead mocked God in an act of final disobedience. Thankfully both flesh and spirit do not die at the same time as the flesh dies first but the spirit dies later at the final judgment. Don't die the second death and instead accept Jesus Christ's offer of forgiveness and live forever in heaven with God.

The real meaning of the work of Jesus Christ on the cross was that the death of Jesus Christ allowed our spirit to separate from our condemned flesh. If man dies without that forgiveness of sin then both flesh and spirit WILL eventually die together and both will then be placed in an existence together in hell.

Men and woman always say that they hate their bodies. Well if they don't gain the forgiveness of their sins that a belief in Jesus Christ guarantees then they will have to live with the body that they despise forever in hell. Only a belief in Jesus Christ can assure that the body that one hates will separate from our spirit upon death.

Also consider that God created man then woman. One represents our spirit (the man – created from the ground) and the other our flesh (the woman - for she was created from the flesh of man). It was the same when God created man individually. First he created the flesh then he breathed the breath of life into him and gave him his spirit. Satan approached the woman first (the flesh) and when Eve sinned she symbolically condemned our flesh to death, but not our spirit. Adam did not listen to the Serpent but followed Eve in her sin nonetheless. Since Adam was tempted by his flesh (Eve), and not by the Serpent, Adam's sin was forgivable. Because both man and woman are one, one made from the other, once Adam's sin becomes forgivable then Eve's is forgivable as well. Complex, I know. But God is complex once you look deeper into it. When all the smoke clears of lies and sin what is left is that the flesh of both the man and woman is condemned but the spirit is forgivable, but only if the person accepts the forgiveness offered by a belief in God's son Jesus Christ (God become man).

Please, if any person reading this is still unsaved then now is the time to come to your senses. Don't be cast into the fire of hell along with Satan and his evil cohorts just because of your stubbornness of believing that you don't need salvation. To gain salvation just believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and was resurrected back to a life with God the father in heaven in order to offer you forgiveness for ALL of your sins – past – present - and future!

Amen
