[__ Prayer __] Revival is breaking out !

Praise the Lord! They have been saying that revival is coming.

I also heard that Jesus is going to increase the amount of miracles that people are doing. Who knows? But we'll know that one when we see it. There's already a lot of miracles happening.

The enemy turned up the heat because time is short.
God is responding by increased graces to counter it.

And the lord said to the bondman, Go out into the ways and fences and compel to come in, that my house may be filled; - Luke 14:23

A voice of reason .
Locally we have several nar wingnuts .one held a large outdoor revival on the river . Pastor said that sounded like an emotional driven service and not based on the bible based on who the church was and he is right .

God is pouring out His Spirit in many places all over America.

There will always be skeptics.

There will always be those who speak against it.

You didn't actually listen .like her I have that experience with revivals .

My old church whose founder held revivals monthly and street preaching and did good things ,he passed ,his widow was my pastor .she had continued that .

They did have 24 hour revivals .it wasn't often but they did it . Usually prayer and worship . My current church founder ,hardly charismatic but grew up in Covington ky in a out there snake handling church ,led a revival once for a week .he also allowed with permission of the presbytery a Spanish pentacostal church to rent from the church .yet he was burned enough by his childhood that he eschews pentacostals.

He also as my pastor decided to continue it( revuve)

Discipling men to be fathers ,to equip them to train up their houses in the bible .

She said that will do much much more then a day at these "revivals" she never said it wasnt real but offered caution

Pentacostals will chase these Spiritual events rather then simply seek it in their own churches .I have heard a few pentacostals teach you don't need to go to Brownsville or any large revival to experience it .just seek it and He will show up.

Raising children to follow the Word is evidence of a follower who believes .

So if people are weeping and crying, or shouting then it must not be real?

Is that the point you are making?

But Peter, standing up with the eleven, raised his voice and said to them, “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and heed my words. For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.
And on My menservants and on My maidservants
I will pour out My Spirit in those days;
And they shall prophesy.
I will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD.
And it shall come to pass
That whoever calls on the name of the LORD
Shall be saved.’
Acts 2:14-21

I would guess that most Pastors today would have spoken against the outpouring of the Spirit on the day of Pentecost, because it didn’t fit into their cold dead dry services, where no one is ever saved, or healed or delivered from demons.

I wonder what kind of emotions a person would display if they were healed of an incurable disease, or saved and delivered from the bondage of drugs, or alcohol or any of a number of bondages?

Great, keep it going.

It all starts with the Holy Spirit touching someone’s life and changing them.

And there will always be those who forget that wisdom and discernment are needed, especially in today’s emotionally driven culture. Things happen to people in large groups and emotions can become contagious and take over. Caution and discernment are needed.

And people don't fake it ?
Or it's not actually a true thing and they fall away

So a person who can speak in tongues and bears no major improvement in their nature is evidence of indwelling ?

That person should have evidence of more fruits of the Holy Spirit which seldom happens overnight .

Ya know the long list of how we should act

Locally that happened .

Yet looking back .I can see few if any changes in the families of those there .

Tent revivals i have been to and yet 6O years later not much .that's her point .you can't base evidence on that .it's long term .

I can name my old church to locals and they knew him .yet ask some kid about that church and won't know it

Even the ones that do know ,know that from stories of him seeing it .again yet no major line of families that can say I got saved there and my son is faithful.

That isn't to say that the evangelist was wrong but only that emotional things don't make or keep a person saved.

Imagine going there ,having that and not even the next week or months staying in church. That is her point .

She was raised charismatic and she said she went to it.stated what she saw and also said it was her bias and listed her bias .

She didn't say it wasn't legit only to let it be and it's too early

Look locally black pentacostals tend to broadcast healings and miracles in these crime and drug hidden hoods they meet in.yet years after these communities show little change

I attended a few of those in a drug ridden community .I don't think they are apostate but not all who came actually repented and also sometimes they also got caught into what she said.

Things happen to people in small groups.

When young people are involved then the need for discernment amplifies.

In past revivals there have always been fleshly and or demonic manifestations amongst the people, that grieve the Holy Spirit.

Also the counterfeit begins to infiltrate.

The Kundalini spirit tries to masquerade as the Holy Spirit.

Never the less, without a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit in this nation, America is finished.

I think the point he is making is that, fakery does happen. I'm not saying Kentucky is fakery. But I had visited a church with friends before and they always had a healing line where you could get prayed for and laying on of hands and stuff. Everytime they layed hands on someone, they hit the floor under the power of the Holy Spirit (?). The idea is that you are slain in the spirit and knocked silly by the Holy Spirit. So I thought, I dunno if them people are hitting the floor from the power of God or not, but I have plenty to get healed of so I went through the lines. And when it was my turn and they layed hands on me, I was expecting to feel the Holy Spirit but I only felt a man pushing on me. So I stood my ground waiting upon the Lord and he prayed real fast and went on. The Holy Spirit did not knock me to the ground. I wasn't healed either. I think I was the only one there that didn't get knocked to the floor by the Holy Spirit!

I have heard of not only revivals breaking out here and there, and where the Glory of God descends on the congregation and some pretty spooky things happen. I felt in my heart that that was a true account.

Young people, old people, it doesn't matter. The main problem I have seen is that many pray for revival but then they live like the world. They think that an outpouring of the Holy Spirit will fix everything, when if most who claim to be Christian actually lived like Christians, things would change. America is pretty much finished. The church in the West needs God's judgement.
