Wow, what a guy. 10-0 in the NFL. 23 game personal winning streak going back to college. 4th in the NFL in both QB rating and pass percentage (will shatter Marino's rookie records in both). Huge guy, lightning arm, the brains and composure of a vet. Doesn't panic and throw away balll anymore, so only 2 interceptions in last 7 games. Learning more plays and gaining confidence each week. Led team to defeat the two (other) best teams in the league in consecutive weeks. Was flawless in leading a 56 yard game-winning drive with under two minutes left in last game.

Man, I thought I couldn't love this guy anymore, and then I see the news stories today about his uniform. Apparently, Ben has been writing PFJ on his game shoes since high school, which stands for "Play for Jesus" He's also been writing "40" for Pat Tillman on his shoes this year. The NFL issued him a warning to stop. Ben says he understands the rules, and will stop writing on his shoes now that he's been warned, but he'll still have the messages on his person, although les visibly.

What an awesome classy guy for both the messages he displays, and for his handling of the NFL.

I agree! Thanks for the info on his faith. I didn't know he was a believer. What a great testimony. I liked the kid because of his play, but now I'm an even bigger fan

Since I help with ESPN Videogames, I'll suggest his "leadership" attribute be raised just a little more... ;)

I just wanted to share that I met the guy last year before the GMAC Bowl. Well, meeting wouldn't be the word because he wouldn't know me from Moses today.....but, I was invited to several of the banquets and the breakfast of the FCA before the bowl game last year.....you know, when Miami of Ohio played Louisville in the Mobile Bowl game called the GMAC Bowl..... anyway, I like the guy from the beginning and he handled himself very well and was a very focused individual at the FCA event.
And, boy was he big.......

That's really cool! I never knew that about him! He sounds like a really nice person. It's always awesome to hear about these strong people in sports...
