Option A
Exciting Life with thrills and spills

or

Option B
safe, uneventful life. No dramas but not much fun either

Exciting life is fun...
Depending upon the type of excitement.

Going out on mission trips is exciting. So is getting a new pickup truck. Seeing a new grandchild and playing with them.
So is finding out that your checkbook is overdrawn by $20,000 and it's your wife's fault due to a shopping spree. Or how about getting mugged on a subway? A car wreck of some kind?

Excitement is just excitement....it's the kind of excitement that can be good or bad.

So... exactly what kind of excitement are you talking about?

I will let you define excitement. Everyone has a different version.
For me the following could be considered "excitement"....
-travelling overseas
-a cruise
- a long road trip like Perth to Sydney
--starting a new business/career
-signing up for a University course
-moving to a bigger house/doing Reno
-becoming famous
-writing a bestseller
and so on

Becoming famous....meh...I don't think that I would like to be famous. Fame can become infamous in a hurry...
And once you are famous everyone starts bothering you to invest in their business ideas.

But you are famous on here.....

And being famous amongst the introverted is not exactly famous...what? Like they are going to mention me to their one or two friends? ROFL.

Probably less than 10,000 people are aware of me.
Now if they all sent me a check for $100...
That would be awesome. I could buy a farm and grow fruit to make some jams and jellies. (And a little schnapps)

I like option A. Not that I enjoy the Wringer but it always indicates that...something better is coming my way.

I heard a man's testimony once on youtube and he was taken up somewhere and was being shown the future and sometime during his vision he said he was allowed to understand how every tribulation he went through had a very profound effect in the spiritual realm and also within himself which built his character and actually prepared him sub-consciously for the fulfillment of his destiny which was written in God's book about him before the foundation of the world. In ways that he had never realized before. This left him with a sense of the longing to have had more and more difficult tribulations while he was on earth. And some regret of those times that while he was going through a tribulation and prayed for God to, take this from me.

I thought that was an interesting perspective and it goes right along with what I sort of knew already...Life is 10% what it deals you in the cards, and 90% how you react to it. So when life deals us lemons, praise God and make Lemonade.

You could get a promotion to a bigger forum.
Bigger forums mean bigger problems. We are actually one of the busiest Christian forums in the English speaking world.

And I don't know how to do a secular forum. Things that they allow aren't inside of my repertoire.

I am a regular member of a men's shaving forum and a diving forum... haven't been in a while. They are great for finding out more about shaving and scuba diving. But me a mod or admin in those? Probably not a good idea.

Even a full boring life has its ups and downs.
The excitement of getting a letter, that is not a final demand.
The disappointment of finding there are no biiscuits in the tin!

Or sharing the joy of friends at church, in the neighbourhood of a child getting married, having a grandchild or sharing in there sorrow of the death of a relative.

Joining in the celebrations of news of a conversion etc etc etc

Life is more than just self and even if alone there is your church and the wider church that you are getting prayer letters for and praying for.

How are the charities you support coping in this lockdown?
Do they need extra funding, what about prayer for there increased problems?

I know that when this lockdown is over I'm definitely interested in going to a picnic with my Sunday School class...that will be exciting.

Do you find going to Church exciting? Sometimes it's the highlight of my week. ?

No....
I use a couple of vintage pre-WWII straight razors to shave. I use an Arkansas progression honing stones and a fast bridle leather strop to hone them. 2 are German steel, one is English but claims to be German and one is Swiss steel. I also use a shavette when I get too lazy to sharpen my razors.

I am a reasonable swimmer. By that I mean I can swim 1 mile without stopping. there is a 16 mile race held yearly. Ocean swim and sometimes rough......
But I might drown...I will definitely get bitten by jellyfish. So no thank you. I don't need goals like this anymore.

It's all Greek to me...
