Hi to all , Therefore , my brethren , you also have become DEAD to the LAW through the Body of Christ , that you may be married to another , to Him who was raised from the dead , that we should bear fruit to God .

The Body of Christ can be understood 2 ways ;

1) Of our Lord's physical body which hung on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world nand this described in Eph 2:15 , Col 2:14 , and in chapters 9 and 10 in the book of Hebrews .

2) Of the Body of Christ , the Assembly to which all saved people in this Age of Grace belong to . Membership in this Assembly makes us DEAD to the Law of Moses .

This is not a good translation , as I hope to point out . The way that it was translated ( PLEASE remember that translation are NOT inspired ) has encouraged some to believe that women can be Married to Christ and make Christ a BIGAMIST .

The middle part of verse 4 , can be better read " in order for you to BECOME to ANOTHER ." So then , ( while ) the Husband is living she will be will be caleed an adulteress if she should become to a different husband , but if that husband should die , she is free from the law , so as for her not to be an adulteress , having become to a different husband .

The truth of verse 3 and 4 are similar but NOT the same . " ANOTHER " in verse 4 is HETEROS , another of a different kind , which is also used in verse 3 . This " ANOTHER " in verse 4 is the Lord Himself , who is certainly different from us .

He is the ONE having been raised from the dead . There is no idea of " marriage " in verse 4 . We have to understand that the ASSEMBLY , the Body of Christ , is NOT the Bride of Christ , which is taught in almost translations , in Mark 2:19-20 ; John 3:29 .
