Why did Juliet commit suicide?

If I remember my Shakespeare, she was heartbroken because Romeo was dead. (Romeo had committed suicide because he had thought Juliet was dead.)

Because Romeo died after thinking Julet was dead upon their rendezvous meeting when she was in fact in a deep sleep. When Juliet awoke, she saw that Romeo was dead and then we can guess what follows.

They didn't put you through this in school?

Because Bill needed a plot twist to interest Globe theater patrons.

Its just pretend. We can't learn anything from pretend events.
