Discussion of Catholic doctrine will be allowed in the One on One Debate Forum and End Times forum only. Do not start new topics or sway existing threads toward a discussion or debate that is Catholic in nature.

I am new to this forum. I do not understand this rule. I am not Catholic but I wonder why Catholism is singled out here.

If you have been an active member of other Christian forums, you'd understand why.

Catholics are generally very nice, sweet people, but due to their extreme church teachings, they can get tad aggressive and overboard in imposing their views.

But still, I don't mind having a separate Catholic section as long as everybody stays cool ..

Tina,

I don't mean to sound argumentative so please don't take this the wrong way. Your comment
about Catholics sounds a bit like a stereotype. Are you saying that if you are Catholic you are going to be aggressive and overboard about your views? I think in all religions you are going to find aggressive people and not so aggressive people. Stereotypes are not a very good thing to hold onto. There are so many Catholics and to say they all can be a tad aggressive is probably not accurate. It is clear that Catholics have been singled out here and it does not really reflect well on a Christian site to single out a group like this. Just my view point. I think it causes a negative rift more than anything else. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm not going to write anything more about it. It is obviously a sore point here. I don't want to be singled out or kicked out because I wrote about what was on my mind and what God has lead me to write.

It is based on my experience with Catholics in other forums.
At least other Christian sects don't put down Protestants to promote their own religion.

Just for the record that went both ways.

We tried that. Didn't work. See above.

BluLumin,
You'll also notice no Catholic-bashing. Peace reigns in that perspective.

Anyway, this should have been locked. My bad.
