I got to see this commercial many times lately, and although it keeps coming up before the videos I want to watch it's the only commercial I never skip, because the message is awesome and inspiring.

I agree that "like a girl" should not be an insult, just as reba pointed out that "like a boy" isn't an insult. I do believe we need to make a distinction between men and women, however, not to say that one is less than the other, but to acknowledge and celebrate our differences. I am glad women are different from men, and that we each have our strengths and weaknesses, not just as genders, but as individuals. There are certainly roles I believe only men should have, and roles only women should have. When it comes to athletics, however, for every feat I have seen from a man, I have seen a woman to match it, and vice versa.

I'm glad we are different too. In fact, I just might pray, "Thank you Lord for not making me a man." Just kidding.
I agree that men should never be wives and women should never be husbands.
However, sometimes men are called to be both dad and mom and the reverse for women. So it's important that we understand how both girls and boys think and feel about themselves.

EDIT: AND how they think and feel about each other.

I showed this to the Guys at work. It was a great message. I plan to use it when I start the Girl's camp locally where I reside. I will be teaching girls trade skills. Non-traditional blue collar work for women pays 2-3 times more than traditional such as, hair stylist, cleaning, child care, and so on. I am thankful for those who are happy doing it but, due to education, work experience, and my desire to work in a non-traditional trade I have been able to sustain my family with no Government aid by working in as an A/C, refrigeration technician (HVAC/R tech). I can do so much, plumbing, electrical, I have worked on cars, and the list is endless. Women are trained and formed to close the door to technical careers. I hope to change it here in my home town.

Good job!
My oldest took auto mechanics in high school. She also took two years of woodworking, she had to fight for that second year. LOL, she's an accountant now. But she paid for her college education working for a building contractor sheet rocking and hammering nails. You want a really invisible seams she can do it.

I work for a large University now as a Energy Management Controls Specialist. I am continuing my education. Unfortunate events happened and I was left to raise five children on my own. They all are from the same father. I enjoy my work but, not always the men I worked with and for were nice or fair. God has a plan for all of us that are called according to his purpose.
