[__ Prayer __] Russel Brand prays with Tucker Carlson

Wow! That was amazing! I never thought Russell Brand would become a Christian. Nothing is impossible with God, is it?

I love listening to believers pray like this...with confidence and boldness. Thanks for sharing :b4Hz

"Time will tell." There is nothing quite so...revealing as time. Actors and media/cultural "talking heads" are performers who are often attempting to manipulate the masses, positioning themselves within various groups by various means in order to influence, and perhaps even lead, them. So, then, it is extremely important for Christians to be prudent, and remain very skeptical of claims of newfound fidelity to Christ - especially by those from the most corrupt and Satan-bound region of western society, the entertainment industry (music, movies, t.v., pop media). So, wait. Just wait and see what time reveals about the genuineness of Russel's (and, for that matter, Tucker's) claims to faith in, and submission to, Jesus Christ.

North American believers are susceptible to a very out-sized degree influence from popular media. Look at how excited Christians got about the gold-toothed Kanye West's claims to faith in Christ. And look now, after some time has passed, at where Kanye is: A rapidly downward-spiralling madman, addicted to laughing gas and afflicted with a God-complex. Andrew Tate is another awful example of someone who briefly claimed fidelity to Jesus Christ - just long enough to attract the attention of young (and very foolish) Christian men - and then cast off his "faith" for Islam where he could gain more traction with his mysogyny, sex-trafficking, porn, and vile version of "manliness." I recall Oprah Winfrey years ago also claiming to be a follower of Jesus which, of course, has been proven to be an utterly false claim.

So, don't be eager to embrace Russell's newfound "faith" in Christ. Any godless actor can say the "right words" - and they have done many times in various "Christian" movies. It will be time, not superficial performance, that will expose the genuineness of Russell's "conversion."

Sad but true. Especially in a culture in which Christian can mean different things to different groups of people….

And as Tenchi pointed out there’s the marketing aspect. It seems that in the entertainment industry people…or at least famous people and their carefully crafted public persona…are commodities.
