I hate to admitt this but right now I'm very discouaged and need prayer I really feel a failure I go through this everyday I should have the faith to face my problems, but right now I do not. I wish GOD would take me Home.
Rom 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Prayer and fasting build faith also.
Wanting to go home should be the wish of every blood bought child of God. It is those who are afraid of death, those who think they are going to miss out on something here, and those who for some reason don't want to go home that I don't understand.
Here is what Paul wrote:
Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Crucified with Christ. That is as close as you can get while still walking through this life. If you were crucified with Him, continue the process. Many Christians get themselves hung up on the Cross, (in more ways than one) but they don't die there. They continue to want their will, their ways and their desires.
When Jesus hung on the cross, he prayed from
Psalms 31:5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.
I came to realize one day that to be crucified with Christ, and to die there, I must pray that also. "Lord, into your hands I commit my spirit." That was one of the most glorious times! The next step to follow is to be raised with Him. Become filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in the power of the resurrection.
Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
Col 2:12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with [him] through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
Father,
I pray that you would do a supernatural work in Robert, and all of my brothers and sisters in Christ who are discouraged and weary. Revive us all Lord, give us purpose and meaning, and an abundance of the power of the resurrection to walk in boldness and faith.
Thank you for Robert's desire to be encouraged and to grow in faith. Thank you for answered prayer.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
