Nope. That's precisely what it is. Granted, it covers a huge number of phenomena. But that's how a theory is validated.

In biology it means a species that changes over time to become a new species.

In the article you linked it's used in the sense that stars change over time, which they do. It has nothing to do with speciation.

And speciation is only a part of the old age sisters. They do, over thousands of years, thats all they had time for, like bio life, which, by the by is the point here after all.
