If any of them accepted Christ's forgiveness on the cross and received the Holy Spirit, they are going to heaven regardless of what they did. Heaven is the Holy Spirit inside of us forever. And since the devil is not stronger than God, then no one can snatch those who've received the Holy Spirit out of God's hand.

Someone posted this earlier. I would like everyone here to define salvation with scriptureal support, then I will give my responce. (I already have one to this post, mind you if you believe you ahve to be baptised iwth the Holy Spirit to be saved go ahead and tell me so.)

I think I've made my stand clear more than enough in the past.

But for the sake of this thread will put out a short statement - will also help me fine-tune in a smaller post.

This should be interesting to see what folks put down - the issue is simple but I believe the responses will mostly be ramblings without dealing with the issue at all.

God bless

In Luke 23:42-43 we see that Jesus extends His salvation to one who simply, humbly asks for it. This is prior to the Holy Spirit coming on the Day of Pentecost. So, according to this example, one doesn't need the Holy Spirit to be saved. However, I think that it is important to understand what the Holy Spirit's role is in our lives (Example: John 14:26).

When we accept salvation through Jesus, we open our selves the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). Whether we choose to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit or not is up to us (Ephesians 4:30). The Holy Spirit is a gift (Luke 11:13; Acts 2:38; 10:45), and imparts gifts from our Father in Heaven (Matthew 7:11; 1 Corinthians 12). Do we want to reject those gifts? Unfortunately, most of the church has, either through ignorance and false teachings, or pride.

Getting back to salvation; John 14:6 declares that Jesus is the only way to achieve salvation. There is nothing that we can do other than surrendering to Him (Galatians 2:16).
