Growth Salvation During The Seven Year Tribulation.

My thread here is meant to encourage your hearts and ease , a little tension, about your unsaved loved ones that enter the 7 year tribulation....Over the years, I have heard very good preachers tell their people that once the tribulation period arrives, no one will be saved during that period. Some add, only Jews because of the preaching of the 144,000 Jewish men.

Part of my morning studies in the Word of God (Bible) includes a study of the Book of Revelation by using Dr. John MacArthur's two volume commentary. I'm in chapter 16:12-16, and this verse caught my attention, and thus the thread.

Revelation 16:12 "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 16:13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 16:15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon."

Dr. MacArthur states "This gracious word from heaven will come before the pouring out of the seventh bowl and assure believers that they will not be forgotten." (the bold, underline & color is mine) Also Malachi 3:16,17 3:16 "Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. 3:17 And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him."

There will be a "Gathering up" of Jesus' Bride just prior to the Tribulation period, some of the folks that we have witnessed to will remember that we told them we'd go, plus tribulation would follow our departure, they might decide to get serious about Salvation and repent.

At anytime during the Tribulation, some of who we have witnessed to about the terrors of that 7 year period, may remember and repent. The two witnesses will spread the Gospel as well as the 144,00. So, there will be a few opportunities for some of our loved ones to be saved during that 7 year period of tribulation.

I guess, not only do I want to assure you good folk about several opportunities for our loved ones getting saved during the "tribulation" but it behooves all of us to make sure that our loved ones know what to expect when the 7 year tribulation comes upon them.

I believe that if they are aware of the different judgments like the trumpet and bowl judgments, if they are told that these will come and be terrible, they can repent and get out of the pain. They need to know that at any time, they can repent and be saved.

This is just something to think about.

for what it's worth, I tend to avoid using the Revelation as a source for understanding doctrines because most of it is the attempt of the writer to communicate highly symbolic, heavenly, ecstatic visions that cannot be accurately described using human language. That is a problem will all apocalyptic literature including parts of Daniel, Ezekiel, and others.

I understand perfectly what you are saying Jim. That's the reason that I don't post very much from Revelation. There are parts that are very clear and literal, this was one of them that I have discovered. In fact, there are 3 places where the writer says "They repented not" or in similar words. Rev. 9:20, 21; 16:9; 16:11. I only point this out because my opinion is that the people probably were confronted with the opportunity to repent.

Thank you Jim for your interest. I see that you're 70yrs old. I'm 75. Us old guys should stick together and show these young whipper snappers a thing or two. :lol

This is just something to think about.

I am not 100% convinced that the Wrath to come, the The seven angels who sound their trumpets, the seals and for a Grand final during all that, the dreaded vials. Are just reserved for those who did not respond to the gospel.

If that is the case, we will have a whole bunch of saved folks knowing they missed the boat. Whats sad, is that Revelation does not put the gospel into their hands as they are never mentioned, or the church mentioned at all in Revelation. It's two witnesses, An angel, and the 144,000.

The 10 Virgins, all virgins, but 5 of them were not ready and prepared.

Mar_13:35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:

But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
(Mar 13:32-33)

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
(Mat 24:41-45)

What it looks like to me, is that those who are in the plan of God, being faithful, the true church which each body member of Christ does their part, Eye's seeing, Ear's hearing, feet a walking, are the ones that hear that voice as a trumpet saying, "Come up"
A whole lot of folks that are saved now, have time to change things now, can shake the cobwebs out now, won't ever getting around to finding and doing the will of the Lord, not being ready.

The Faithful servant goes, not the one that is not ready.

We know, these folks called Jesus Lord, He did not deny He was not their Lord, were ready or not ready.

Now we know He comes for the Church, because some of these folks were not ready, no question that once the Angels sound off their trumpets and that 6th seal is released He is coming exactly on that 1/2 hour of silence on the whole earth.

So, I am thinking, some folks need to stop just playing saved, and Jesus must be Lord over every aspect of their life, even what Job they are working, and where they live.

The wages of sin is death. That "death" doesn't wait until the body quits working; it seeps into every part of our lives destroying everything of value. The results of sin, loosing jobs for being drunk, a thief, lazy, etc., and then loosing wives, family, homes, friends, our health and everything else should tell a person something. The hell being afflicted on the people in Revelation should by them as a warning about what is in store for them. I think that might be a part of the symbology

Sin does kill and destroy the quality of life here and now. it many even physically kill you, and unless you repent, you have to reap full harvest of what you sow. It's a spiritual thing that can wait for a long time before harvest. Like stealing something and 10 years later that harvest comes to pass and someone cleans out your house. The ignorant won't even connect the two. The World calls it Karma, but it's spiritual law that who you obey, your a servant of.

Not sure what you mean about Hell and Symbology. Lake of fire is a lake of fire, not very symbolic there, a lake that is full of fire. Pretty simple.

Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Gal 6:7-8

Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म; IPA: [ˈkərmə] ( listen); Pali: kamma) means action, work or deed; it also refers to the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).
