you are adding to scripture. Give me the book, chapter and verse that says God calls being overweight sin and calls for a sacrafice or confession of such. Also show me the guidlines that God gives for what constitutes being overweight.
 
my aunt saw what we were talking about, and she had this to say:
The sin of Homosexuality is no different than the sin of sexual relationships outside of marriage. Should we put those people in jail too? Should we put all liars in jail? Should we put you in jail for lusting after woman? Becuase Christ said that if you lust in your heart after a woman, you have commited adultry in the eyes of God! Any sin is wrong and an abomination to Christ! The only thing that we can do in our law and government about the homosexuality is to stop letting them think they deserve special rights because of their sexual preferace. They are not a race of people as they seem to think. If you want to do some good, stop judging their sin and them and do something about your government letting them have special rights. You are just wasting your time by focusing in on these sad people who don't know Jesus and thinking they have "sin" cornered. They deserve Tender Mercy as much as you do. Making it illeagal is ludicurus!!! Fight for the rights of families and morals and putting Christ back into our schools. Fight for what will make a difference. Fight to make laws that will matter and honor God above all things. To try and make homosexuality illeagal is like trying to make any other sin illeagal. Use your efforts to fight the murder of Children and protect our kids from preditors. You know that these things are overwhelming. Again let me state that it is right to fight against the unjust push for equal rights based on your sexual preference. I will fight with you on this issue. But I will love the sinner. And I will pray for their sin to release them for the Glory of Chirst. Also, my friend, remember we are living in the last days! God is about to pour out His spirit on all flesh. These are the days when you will see the sin of homosexuality become abolished if: "If my people will humble themselves and pray, I will heal their land". WE MUST PRAY!!!! GOD WILL HEAL EVEN THE HOMOSEXUAL!! He will also heal you and I of our secret sins that we can't seem to let go of!! Pray for your own secret sins to be revealed so that God can use you as a loving soldier to help these poor lost people!! I will do the same!!

"<Titus 3:9> or, this: DO NOT spend time on stories and long lists of names in family history's. They bring argument. They do not help God's work. Some have missed the point and talk uselessly. They want to teach the law, but they don't even understand what they're talking about. <1 Tim 1:4-7>

Now I suggest that you study the bible since you clearly do not understand that passage.

I will pray that you will someday be able to use the screen name that you have chosen to bring honor to Christ. We wear the name of Christ when we call ourselves "Christians" We are to walk worthy of our high-calling in Christ Jesus. I think that you should be very careful about using His name as your call letters and then slamming other of His precious ones because they have revealed your weakness. I have been called by God to write this book to help His little ones become all they can be for His glory. You also have a gift with in you that He has planted there to use for His honor and glory. This is not your gift. I will pray that you find it. And I say this in love.

He said that "it would be better for those people to have a mill-stone tied around their neck and be cast into the deepest sea."That has gotta' hurt! me too... i dont' think same sex marriages should be recognized... but that's not to say they shouldn't be free to still be "gay"... or something like that.
 
For those who follow the ways of God they seek laws against the lifestyle as well since He calls for them.
 
Everyone has the right to choose their sexual orientation. You can't outlaw being gay.

But when gay people want to "marry" so called and have it be called like straight marriages, want benefits for doing so, wanting to adopt children, and have their lifestyle seen as okay by everyone, well short answer. NO!
 
Sure we can outlaw homosexuality. This nation did it in the past when its leaders and people used look to God for their guidence.
 
You can't stop the homosexual behavior or "disease" of it. You can say that its illegal, people will still be that way.

Being gay should not be outlawed anyway.
 
If we followed the ancient teachings of the Bible for law we'd have a blood bath. If the list I've been given is correct then we should kill:
-Unruly or rebellious child. Deut 21:20-21
-Those who curse or hit their parents. Lev 20:9, Ex 21:15
-Worshipers of other gods. Deut 13:6-11
-psychics, witches. Lev 20:27, Deut 13:6-11,Ex 22:18.
-Those who do not believe in Jesus (parable).Luke 19:27.
-Those who work on the Sabbath. Ex 35:2
Moses kills a gentile for this. Num 15:32-36.
-Those who are accused by at least two people
of wickedness. Deut 17:6.
-The children and babies of enemies. Num 31:17,
Deut 20:13, Psalm 137:9, Lev 26:29.
-Adulterers. Lev 20:10.
-Homosexuals. Lev 20:13.
-A woman who is not a virgin when married.
Deut 22:13-21.
-Those who are careless with murderous livestock.
Exodus 21:29.
And we haven't even mentioned the main sins yet (murder, rape, theft etc).
As a non-believer I still disagree with same sex marriages, but what consenting adults do in the privacy of their own home is their choice. Same sex marriage, and adoption is a strange family to bring a child into. My feeling is that its just really unnatural to lust after the same sex. I don't think it should be punished, but I also don't think it should be supported.
 
If we followed the bible we would not have a nation and people in the gutter. People who reject the punishments of God for their actions reject God. Plain and simple. By the way. It would not be bloody. Once people learned the law meant business most would not get into those fixes.

Deuteronomy 20:21-22 And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

This passage is about a rebellious child who is sinning. His sins are drunkeness, the excessive consupmtion of alchohol, and gluttony, the excessive consumption of food and drink.

Proverbs 23:20-21Be not among winebibbers; among riotous eaters of flesh: For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags.

Once again, gluttony is associated with the sin of drunkeness.

Philipians 3:18-19 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

Those who allow their stomachs to rule their lives are destined for destruction.

Finally, even without these express warnings against gluttony, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Overeating is a sin on so many levels. Gluttony has been explicitly mentioned. It is clearly a form of greed to regularly eat more than you need. Obesity is a slow form of suicide. Virtually every aspect of ones health is harmed by obesity. Those who overeight regularly lust after food and have cravings that they do not resist buy simply give in to.
