Satan Wanted To Know God - But Couldn't

Satan was present at the last supper as he had possessed Judas. Satan knew about good and evil because he knew the entire Old Testament bible, except the new testament which hadn't been written yet.

Since the Old Testament was written by man, and Satan had gained dominion over man when Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, Satan was entitled to know the bible. So Satan knew God, but only through the writings in the bible.

But at the last supper Jesus made a new covenant with man that would, '...put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people' - Jeremiah 31:33.

Notice that God said that he will write his law on our hearts. Up until this point in Jesus Christ's ministry Jesus did not write anything down because Satan would then be entitled to know it. Satan knew that the New Covenant was coming, and since Jesus was God, Satan knew Jesus would be writing something into the disciples hearts and minds as documented in Jeremiah 31:31-33.

Satan wanted to know what this law was so he could truly know God and finally proclaim himself as a God. If Satan did not know these new Laws of God he could not deceive any New Covenant recipient into choosing Satan over God. Satan needed these new laws of God in order to offer man a 'better deal' like he did in the Garden of Eden. So Satan possessed Judas to become a recipient of God's law along with Judas.

When Jesus performed the first communion – nothing happened – for it was a ritual of remembrance and not a commencement of the New Covenant. God would write his laws in man's heart and mind through the indwelling Holy Spirit which happened after Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. And so Satan was out of luck!

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and then get baptized and you'll receive the indwelling Holy Spirit and you'll also receive God's Law written in your heart and mind - Matthew 22:36:40.

When we receive God's law written in our hearts and mind, Satan, or any man on earth, cannot accuse us of violating those laws since they're not written down on paper. Our salvation is secured by knowing that only Jesus Christ can determine if we have violated those laws and sinned, and Jesus has already said that every believer of his has already been forgiven of any violation.

Equally be warned that Satan, throughout the centuries, has used the Christian church to invent rituals in order to try and discern those new laws that God has written in our hearts and minds. Satan then uses man's invented rituals to accuse believers in Jesus Christ of sinning against man and/or God. Don't you believe it! Man's invented rituals are not God's laws, that God has written in our hearts and minds, for only Jesus Christ knows what those laws are, and he never wrote them down on paper!

Also, as we near the end times, Satan will try and replicate the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-33 with the Antichrist, beast, and the mark 666. This mark will be Satan writing his law on the hearts and minds of his followers that will ultimately lead to their eternal damnation in hell!

God Bless

Matthew 22:36-40 New King James Version (NKJV)
36“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”

37Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’38This is the first and great commandment.39And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’40On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Jeremiah 31:31-33 New King James Version (NKJV)
A New Covenant
31“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—32not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.33But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
