The church I went to taught
1 ) Satan knows God better than we do.
and
2) Satan knows us better than we know ourselves.
I fully believed both of those things, but lets begin with what we clearly know.
Jesus said Satan never speak truth,
there is no truth in him.Jn.8:44
Therefore whenever he speaks about scripture he's lying.
And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Gen.3:5
Gen.3:4
That's opposite what God said so an easy lie to spot, but the devil also said,
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. Gen.3:5
And that statement without Gods' previous command is 100% true because their eyes were opened and they became like God knowing good and evil. Satan lied by changing the reason God said it. So lets look ar what God said in Gen.3:22-23.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: vs.22
That's true.
and now, vs.22
( now that Adam knows good and evil )
lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life and eat, and live for ever vs.22
( to prevent Adam from partaking of a tree that gives eternal life )
Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, vs.23
( God separated him from it )
to till the ground from whence he was taken. vs.23
( to do some ground work on the substance he's made of.
I think God did what he did because Adam became aware of something he wasn't ready for and in his new condition. God was out of eyesight, but not earshot so to speak.
I think this is why Paul said,
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Rom.8;20
