Have heard such stuff: that your own blood can save you. That is, when you die defending your faith. You may not be a professing Christian in the case: but you believe in the existence of a God.

Suddenly the bad guys come and threaten your life and kill you - and yet you refused to denounce God. You are saved by your blood.

Another is, after the rapture (for sinners), if you can stand the punishment - then you have redeemed yourself by the punishment given to you.

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder. James 2:19 NIV

Believing that God exists is meaningless. Even the demons believe that God exists. A person is saved by faith in God, not belief that He exists.
