1 Peter 1:23

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”

we know the word of God is seed .we have the parable of the seeds sown different level of hearing . some weeks ago i went and seen a 75 year old man about salvation. his son asked that i go . so i drove up meet with him talked then went into talking about the need to be saved and that we could know we was saved.
the main point of this post is no matter how bad we want something to take place. someone saved a seed has to be planted. hosea tells us to break up our fallow ground. our hearts has to to be tilled/stirred by the Holy spirit.. man can only plant then we wait for the increase which God Gives 1 Corinthians 3: 6 I planted the seed and Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. 7 So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow.…

i went up there in hopes of leading this man to Christ .i used scriptures i talked of how we gamble with our lives while lost. i asked him if he would like to call on Jesus he s aid not right now.. i left not sure if the man would ever call up on Jesus.. so i talked to his son last week. he informed me of his salvation.
see our timing and God timing is not the same . even in our Christian walk a seed must be planted it can come by hearing or by reading. the question is our heart is it ready is it the good ground? or the shallow or the rocky or that which falls by the wayside . i feel this what hosea is saying when he wrote break up your fallow ground Hosea 10:12 Sow righteousness for yourselves, reap the fruit of unfailing love, and break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you. .
none of this is possible with out the anointing /the Holy spirit preparing our heart . the good news is if we allow the word to fall on good ground. and God gives the increase. then we can have a spiritual harvest

Great word, Jerry!

Thank you for sharing.

Praying for souls, especially in our family is one way we can partner with the Lord in breaking up the fallow ground of their heart.

Whether we plant the seed or another one sent by God, we work together as the Spirit leads and gives us grace.

God bless you and your whole household, Jerry.
