If you have sex with your boyfriend or girlfriend before marriage, then you don't really love them. Especially if one of you has already made a committment not to have sex before marriage.

That's an awfully sweeping generalization there. People are imperfect and fallible, and as such we fall. That does not make someone incapable of love. It is a sin, yes, but it does not necessarily preclude love.

is correct. Having feelings for someone and love are two different things. True biblical love is not based on a feeling, but on what is good/right.

Notice that last one. Sex before marriage is seeking yuor own. Those who do it are not doing so because they are in love. They do it because they are in lust. It is true that we all sin, but also true is that we sin because we choose to love self over another. So we see that real love does not seek its own according to scripture.

God's child can answer as he/she sees fit, but there is some truth in the fact that if we sin after conversion we have a love problem towards the Lord. The Lord said that! After the Lord rose and met the disciples at the water side while they were fishing one morning he confronted peter with the words, "Do you love me. He did that three times. The fact was that the love that Peter had shown was of a type that fell short.

It would be like a man who had a secret dinner date with a woman other then his wife. He may not leave his wife or even have sex with the other woman but he is showing her some affection. The wife would have every right to ask don't you love me? The answr may be yes, but the fact is that it is a shallow love. We sin because our love is less then it should be, not because we make a mistake. Mistakes are not sin. The bible says to him who knows to do good and does it not it is sin. Sin is willful and always comes from a heart that is not in love with the Lord the way it ought to be. Now someone may ask don't you sin? Yes sometimes I do and it is always because of lacking proper love for the Lord. It is the same for us all.

The example about the man and wife can be seen in the reverse. A man may be tempted by many beautiful women and in ways that his wife would never find out. However the man who really loves his wife does not even consider the slightest affair. His wife is the apple of his eye and so it is to be with us and the Lord. We do not sin because we are weak or because we are sinners. We sin because our love is not what it ought to be. Learning to confess that is the most difficult thing we can do.
Jesus said this;

Jhn 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Jhn 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

All have sinned. If that were not true, we would be stainless as Jesus Himself and have no need of salvation. Unfortunately, that is not the case. it always amazes me that when a pint is made by someone from a biblical perspective and another stands against that point, but has no biblical grounds to back up what they believe the first thing that is done is twist what is said. Satan does that you know. I never said that if our love is not perfect we do not go to heaven. That is your twisting of my words, like I said Satan does that. We each have a choice in this life. Once becoming saved all our sin is a choice. We are never forced into it. Jesus said this.

I realize that the words of the Lord are not popular today. Not even in the church, but they still are true. Excuses or twisting truth does not change that truth.

And so you accuse me of being Satan. That's almost funny, and would be if it weren't for the seriousness of the charge. It was a simple misunderstanding. Furthermore, if I was Satan or arguing on his behalf, wouldn't I have said the opposite? That we don't need Jesus? I say that we do and that none come to the Father except through Him.

Do you always accuse those who disagree with you of following Satan? That's a fairly empty argument unless they're actually advocating Satanic principles, which I was not.

I know you are not satan. What I accused you of was doing what he does. It is clear that what you did was deliberate. There was no mistake or miss-understanding. You twisted what i said and even added to it. Such is not of God so it is of satan.

We have been talking about dating and love at youth group. Love is not romance, love is not lust, love is not infatuation, love is not sex. The point in dating someone is for companionship and to find your mate.

I am with Saved. I dont know if you are a guy or gal but for you guys out there you know how other guy talk about girls as they walk down the hall you see what is written on the bathroom walls. With all that we are still expected to hold our heads up high as we walk down the halls at school. I think if you say you love a girl and take her to bed you are treating her worse than the guy that wrote about her on the bathroom walls.
