On February 27, the WE tv network (owned by AMC Networks) will televise real-life couples having sex for a national television audience. Based on a U.K. show of the same name, “Sex Box” goes where no other reality show has gone when its participants enter a soundproof box on stage, have sex, and then discuss their “intimacy issues” with a panel of so-called experts, all in front of a live studio audience

That's what happens when practically all of the media and TV channels all boiled down to the same 5 or 6 godless companies.

How is this going to be different than watching an R movie (which apparently most Christians have no problem viewing), except that you will probably not see any nudity or explicit sex scenes. Sounds like this will be safer to watch in that regard than the steady diet of movies the church has been ingesting.
 
If it weren't for lots of people watching it where it's already being shown, they wouldn't even consider airing it in other places. They will give the public what the public demands through the rating system which draws money making commercials to their networks. In general the public is demented and spiritually sick. Expecting enough people of the general public to to ask them not to do this is like expecting alcoholics to ask bars to stop serving alcohol! Of course, those of us against this kind of thing should make our voices heard, but I'm not going to expect it to make any difference in today's world.
 
Obadiah and Yosef are right. They only air what they perceive (or can create) demand for. And...with most of our media in the hands of a few massive companies, we're not going to have a whole lot of options.
 
we may not.... but with God ALL things are possible through serious prayer. He is the God of impossible! Its not up to us, its up to our God through prayer. One... just ONE God-fearing Christian can make more of a difference than one million ungodly people all together!

In R rated movies all you're bombarded with is sexual innuendo. The people aren't actually having sex. Yes there is nudity but that's it, no physical sexual contact is taking place.

In the sex box, all the innuendo is removed. These people are actually having sex in front of the camera. Granted they're behind closed doors, but the thought of two people engaged in sexual activity creates an image in the mind of the viewer. An image that is way more convincing than R rated make believe.

Equating Sex Box to R rated movies is like equating a block of ice and a fan to central air.

we cant ban them from airing things. don't like it shut the tv off and internet.obadiah has said we should voice our opinion but yeah good luck with that.

You're kidding yourself if you think imagining two people having sex behind the walls of a room is somehow worse than two naked people, parts exposed, passionately touching and embracing that you can see with your eyes.

Interesting. At first read of this I was like, well yeah, duh! But after a moment of contemplation, I'm not so sure.
Worse than? Mmm, probably not brother. Just as bad as...? Perhaps.

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart./(KJV)

Based on these scriptures, I would think that imagining them is just as bad as going further, because when you allow the thoughts into your thinking reasoning mind and you entertain the thoughts, you allow them into your heart and spirit. This will have an affect upon you, and I suspect that there would be a corresponding affect within the spiritual realm also. How could it not?

Did you not see them with your spiritual eyes when using your imagination? :yes

I dunno about you, but when I use my imagination, I get pictures in my head. :wink
