Should Christians get sarcastic with each other when debating theology? Is it Biblical?

1Ki 18:26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon, saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And they leaped about the altar which was made.
1Ki 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and said, Cry aloud; for he is a god: either he is musing, or he is gone aside, or he is on a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth and must be awaked.
1Ki 18:28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lances, till the blood gushed out upon them.
1Ki 18:29 And it was so, when midday was past, that they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening oblation; but there was neither voice, nor any to answer, nor any that regarded.

We have an example that relates sarcasm ONLY when it comes to false religions, that pretend to be something that they are not. We are to speak the truth in love , but we also have examples of Jesus and Paul who went straight for the jugular when it came to error:

Mat 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first the inside of the cup and of the platter, that the outside thereof may become clean also.
Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mat 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but inwardly ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity.
Mat 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and garnish the tombs of the righteous,
Mat 23:30 and say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we should not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
Mat 23:31 Wherefore ye witness to yourselves, that ye are sons of them that slew the prophets.
Mat 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye offspring of vipers, how shall ye escape the judgment of hell?

Jesus has no time for false religion. He is speaking to the leadership of the "church" of His day. These people were the spiritual leaders of that time.

Paul was not even sarcastic, he was telling them straight: Gal 3:1 O foolish Galatians, who did bewitch you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth crucified?

The word "foolish" means: From G1 (as a negative particle) and a derivative of G3539; unintelligent; by implication sensual: - fool (-ish), unwise.

So yes, there is time for everything. Sometimes people have stopped their ears , because they have heard something over and over and over again , like on the forums. And then it takes a different approach , so that MAYBE we can reach their "hearing" again. But some are beyond this even.

I am posting, because I use sarcasm intentionally on forums , but only sometimes. First I have to KNOW that I am not against the person that I am speaking to. I have to know the reason whey I am speaking to them in whatever way. If my motivation is not to bring the person out of darkness into light, its not love. I know they do not perceive it as love. Nobody likes to be told they are wrong in private so its worse on a forum !

They will take offense at me, or they will see . I am NOT doing this to "win friends" nor to create a personal following. I have post after post here, that prove that I care about WHAT God says and HOW He wants us to relate as the church. My whole motivation is not that I need to talk to somebody, my life is very busy indeed and it costs me to sit here and post. I want people to see that religion is wrong, no matter how right they have come to believe it to be.

Plus, I want people to not only believe IN God, but I want people to BELIEVE God. Some have heard and I praise God for that, because He is the One who opens minds so that they can understand.

So I am not the enemy, although I am not the friend of religions. Those who stand with the traditions of men, place themselves in the wrong place , when they try to relate to the true gospel. I can love them, but I will never agree with them, because they are not in agreement with the Word of God, even if they claim to be.

You can see that where a few of us are standing on this forum, is a lonely place. You are NOT loved, because you are perceived as a "know-all" and as self righteous because you are always saying things are wrong. There are SO many errors that are just accepted these days as OK, because they are "just there" and have always been so. But NO, I do not accept that. I do not accept that people cannot change and follow God, just because some says its impossible. Its possible to come out and be separate. : BUT IT HAS A PRICE that you will pay. The price is obvious.

If somebody you love is on fire, you must save them by throwing a bucket of water over them . Even if they hate water and will take offense, you must still do it. Because your MOTIVE is correct, it to save them. You do not just throw water all over your friends every day, just because you can.I am not going to be in "sarcastic mode" just because I can, it will offensive and people will have reason to complain.
