Should we cut people down after we pray for them? Often times, this seems to be the case. I am probably guilty of it myself. However, I believe if we pray for someone, we shouldn't start talking trash about them after we say amen. To me, that would cancel out the prayer.

I agree, that would not make sense. It tends to be a natural tendency when we are inrritated at someone but we should try to supress that and pray for themand keep them in our thoughts.

Dave,

You ask a very valid question. Should we cut down people after we pray for them? In truth, no, we likely should not. Sometimes though, I will admit this is easier said than done pending on the person and situation.

For me...though I pray for my Father-In-Law...I still have a hard time not venting or speaking ill of him. Perhaps this is because he has never really repented or apologized for the wrong he has done. Does not necessarily make my anger towards him right, I will admit.

Still if we do not vent and try to release these bitter feelings, we might never get past them. Then...that is likely why when we pray for such people, we might also want to pray for the condition of our own hearts in regards of these people. Amen?

Again, good question Dave.

May God Bless You

Danielle
