God's design included making our only natural source of light (the sun) give us cancer.

I'm not making a moral judgment... just stating a fact.
 
God gave us intelligence, curiosity, and abilities to change our environment and even ourselves. The issue is not whether or not we should use our God-given abilities; it's whether or not we will use them wisely.
