[__ Prayer __] Siatica pain, and it's killing me!!!

Brothers and sisters in Christ

Over the years my body has shrunk a few inches as I've aged, and my spine has compresses and is "SQUEEZING" my "SIATIC nerve.

This has "flared up" twice before, in the last year, never had this before, and pain pills helped a few days, but now nothing is working, not even doing exercises for siatic nerve pain or walking. Actually I tried walking for exercise, and that didn't go so well, so I'm back on the couch with a heating pad.

I am so healthy, and this has really knocked me off my "pins", so to speak.

So I'm here seeking "intervention of prayers" from my brothers and sisters in Christ.

They would be so appreciated.

Thank you so very much .
I've been looking at several options including this one, and I so appreciate all the information
Sometimes these things take time to iron out, so I'm in it for the long haul if necessary.

Not my first "Rodeo" at suffering debilitating pain.
I've always had God with me when something like this happens, and He has always gotten me through it, and I've gotten closer to Him each time when I'm allowed to "Suffer."
This reminds me of how well the rest of me is doing at my age.
James 1:2-4, "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
And let endurance have it's perfect result, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."

My faith will be stronger and more perfect when this "trial" is past.
I thank God He brings me these times, and I can put my trust in Him for the healing, if He wished me to be healed.

I can relate to daily sciatica pain. It wears me out. If I don't do my exercises for torso, I pay the price. It really affects ones motivation.

I know what you mean. I really have to push myself when it hurts.
I couldn't go on my walks for a while, but I got some anti-inflamatory meds, so now I can do my walks and I feel much better.
My lower back got involved in this too at the same time, but it's much better now too.

Natural remedies are the best as I like old school methods and hate the pill popping thing. Alternate heat then ice, stretching, massage and walking after stretching also helps. Many do get relief from the inversion tables.

I am slowly finding a system of daily routine of exercise (WALKING), heating pad, and one med that seems to be working pretty well, and have had some pain-free days, 2 in a row a couple days ago.
So I am slowly making progress.
Just glad it's nothing worse.

I'll pray for you, Brother.

JLB beat me to it. I was going to suggest an Inversion Table. I have back damage from an auto accident back in 09 and even though they say the operation was a success, you can't prove it by me. I have daily pain. When I came here to help before my dad passed away I saw that he had some excercise equipment. After he passed, I thought to sell those pieces off because It is too hard for me to exercise now. When I googled the Inversion table to see exactly what it was and its probable worth...I read up on it and decided to keep it. That Inversion Table was a Godsend to me. He KNEW I would need that!

And I kid you not, I have woke up feeling so bad and had so much pain that I was seriously considering calling off work for the day. But then I'd go in and hang upside down for 4 minutes and my back would pop several times and when I got up again (after the blood flows normal again, a minute or so...) then I felt so good immediately that I did go to work. It made that big of a difference that fast. I was doing it like 3-5 times a week, but have found that only once or twice a week is all I need now.

That Inversion Table let me get off (Stay off) the oxycodone pain pills. I was on them for awhile and didn't realize what it really is. And when it became clear, I absolutely refused to continue taking them. I will not take those for the rest of my life! No.

And a little bit of cannabis before bed is a great muscle relaxer and lets me sleep better. The Inversion table is def worth looking into. I use mine every week.

Nevertheless, I'm praying for you too.

The good thing is I always sleep through the night, so that's been nice.

I'm slowly learning a routine I need to keep up.

It's one of those things that takes time, but I seem to be doing a bit better.
The pain is manageable, but would still like to be pain free.
