Signs in the heavens

Sometimes in the bible events are described in a simple declaration without explanation that part of it is for the present and part of it is future, Peter quoted Joel pertaining to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit(something that happened at that time)AND the signs and wonders(which have not yet happened) and there was no distinction made between the present and the future, even though there was a present fulfillment and a future fulfillment. Peter certainly knew that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit was taking place and he was certainly aware that the signs in the heavens were not taking place, yet he quoted it all in one statement because that was the way it was written. Much of the bible is written in this fashion and we just have to recognize it.

17 “‘In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
21 And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’[c]

hmm odd peter seems to disagree and says this not longer after the lords return to heaven and fifty days within that(pentacost) that it happened.

how does that fit in with the tribulation?

seeing that in some part of fullness its done?

I think that you can locate both the Trib. + the 2nd Coming in these Matt. 24 verses! Even the false stuff of satan's teachings (with an S)

[21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. (the very LAST Tribulation!)
[22] And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.
(did you get that? We are still on planet earth right along with the wicked)

[23] Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. (and yes the preterists evil work will increase!)

[24] For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
(and we haven't seen anything yet! But when you see this miracle working stuff around & on T.V., what will you do if you are in need of a real miracle done? Read the above again!)

[25] Behold, I have told you before.
[26] Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

[27] For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

[29] Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

[30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Note Acts 1:11'.. shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.' & verse 6? '..and a cloud received Him out of their sight.')

[31] And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

And the wicked?? See 2 Thess. 2:8-12 READ IT!
