Slime molds are also an example of a transitional form between single-celled and multicellular organisms. They usually exist as free-living ameboid cells, but in hard times, come together, form differentiated multicellular organism and produce spores to send out, possibly to better conditions.

The network turns out to be a matter of physics. The Constructual Law connects a wide variety of natural processes, and extends even to things like natural markets, optimal airport design, and the Eiffel Tower.
 
This mold sometimes appears almost overnight. It consists of a group of tiny, single-celled amoebae, which have both plant and animal characteristics. Also called slime molds or social amoebas, they are very different from the mold found on old bread.
