Have some family up that way. Sounds like you and them may have a white Christmas to look forward to. :lol

We have had a little snow down here too which is a miracle in itself seeing as it so rarely sticks to the ground. Then I cannot help but be grateful for a few inches every now and then. Love winter personally and LOVE snow. So you could say if I was able, I would jump around in it and make snow angels. Hence the child in me comes out.

Here in Utah we may get up to a foot or more tomorrow. If we get hammered I too will post pics.

LostLamb,

You have family in Washington State? That's cool. Which part?

MISFIT,
I'd love to see some pics!

I love the snow, it's beautiful in your pics! I'm jealous!!!! Opps! we're not to be jealous of others. :lol

It NEVER snows down here in south Georgia. When I lived in the middle of the state we used to get a little every now and then, but down here nada. Timothy and I have been craving it badly, especially him being from NJ where it can snow a lot. I fear that when he sees this thread he may just have a breakdown... :crying ........ :shame

Well, I guess I'll call off the ninja squirrels, it just wouldn't be right to take advantage of Tim right now, with seeing that someone else has snow and he don't. I guess I'll have to show a little mercy and grace here. :toofunny

But next time..........wellllllllll I don't know.........we'll see. :lol

Well I couldn't believe it. It only took an hour and 25 minutes to make it in this morning :D That's not bad considering it's an hour on a good day without snow!

I've got a funny feeling it's going to take longer than that to get home though... :twocents

I spent some time in Valdosta when I worked for Bayliner back in the late 80's. I'm not jealouse of your diamond backs or chiggers! Though I'd love to get some lighter! (Cyprus that's really flammable)

I hear that NJ is getting hit pretty hard too :wave

Carol Lowery ,
Where are you from anyway? Are you in the sunshine belt too?

They are also in Spokane.

That's cool! :-) Have they lived there long?

I bounced all around Spokane growing up, but pretty much ended up living on the East Side around 4th and Havana. Mom lived on the North side by Francis and Nevada.

I am sooo glad I don't live there anymore :D

Yeah Jeff, I'm right here at the NC/SC state line at Charlotte,NC/Fort Mill/Rock Hill,SC area. If we get snow, it's gone in a day. Now Michigan? I know how bad it snows there with you bud!!!! My parents keep me updated on the snow, they live in Detroit (Murder City). This week it's been in the 70's, duhuh it's winter.....where's the snow?!? :praying :lol

But I got to admit, though I know it's not good for things, but I just love ice storms. Everything looks like it's made of glass, and it's so pretty. One of those juxtapositions of beauty/dangerous. But I just love looking at everything covered in ice until it knocks the power lines down. :lol Then it's hot chocolate heating up on the kerosene heaters, and gas grill cooking, and bottled water!

We didn't get as much as they said, not more than an 1" or 2". We may get more tomorrow so we'll see.

He's just saying that to confuse us. He's really plotting Message board Mormon Domination. ;)

Now on a serious note, if any of you feel like praying for some snow in south georgia with me, please do. I would REALLY love to see some.

So Tim,
I'd pray for snow down south, but I know that when the people wrecked their cars, they'd just buy Toyota's :lol

Carol,
I've been to Charlotte twice so far with my work :) I don't think I'll be going back due to company travel policies that have recently changed, but Charlotte is a really nice area.

There is a really good seafood restaurant just south of the boarder that my co-worker took me too. Man, they had the best crab! Umm!! :yes

BTW, Pontiac has had 5 recent murders that were gang related... They have the police force cut back to only 70 officers and the mayor just said that putting more officers on the force wasn't the solution :screwloose I'm telling ya, the poorer parts of Detroit are really suffering financially. Matter of fact, the roads going home were horrible going through Pontiac yesterday and as soon as I left the city of Pontiac, the roads were plowed and salted :yes
