..or at least, less old time religion. Especially Christianity.
What gives? I think its worth noting that religions still pop up, people still have spiritual needs that are met one way or another, but...
...one reason a lot of countries are increasingly post-Christian seems to be...I dunno...comfort? What gives? Is it, on a social scale, the same as a rich man entering through the eye of a needle? I mean, wealth is relative. We have amenities and houses and such now, all over America, that wealthy people back then didn't. Our middle class lives more comfortably than most of the world...
...what gives? Also, have you noticed how, now that Christianity is fading, psychology is picking up the slack? I remember a few years ago, all the pop shrinks were talking about forgiveness and connecting to a higher power. Ummm...that's not new, but I guess if an "expert" says it, its really insightful.
