I didn't pay attention to it...however I was able to scan a paragraph that says (with little details): sodom and gomorrah was destroyed scientifically with human weapon (human weapon is my paraphrase).

There was no such thing as God sending fire and destroying the cities: humans did, probably using one powerful device. It made me laugh.

Have you seen real pics of S&G? Seems those guys really made God angry.

It's easier to believe in aliens than admit the existence of God isn't it?
Same thing with the plagues of Egypt. I watched a documentary attempting to explain away the plagues as natural occurrences. Thing is, the film never addressed the death of the first born. Hey, if you can't explain it then ignore it. Easy.
I've heard some explanations for people but the death of the first born of animals also isn't spoken of. So any evidence or biblical texts are either ignored or refuted.

I think I saw that same documentary Potluck a couple of years ago. They go under the guise of Christian documentaries but like you say always omit things. Sadly they seem to fool a lot of people and downplay the true power of our Almighty God eroding peoples faith bit by bit by bit. All pushed on by the prince of the power of the air. Or sometimes as I say "the prince of the power of the airwaves" with so much evil on TV.

It was on the history channel and yes, a couple years ago.
The film claimed it had something to do with the height of the cot or bed one slept on then proceeded with some form of toxic gas (possibly from a volcano nearby) that hung close to the floor. Where they got the idea the older had higher beds, that the young slept closer to the floor I have no clue. As far as cattle go the last time I checked they don't sleep on cots or beds off the ground. But it illustrates how far people will go to deny the power of God. ANYTHING is more reasonable than admitting there just might be a God after all. That simply cannot be a possibility. Totally out of the question.

Here's another one:

The cause of the final plague, the death of the first borns of Egypt, has been suggested as being caused by a fungus that may have poisoned the grain supplies, of which male first born would have had first pickings and so been first to fall victim.

suggested
may have

Then take the last steps:

would have
and so

But again, no mention of the animals. Conveniently ignored.

Exo 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.

I suppose the argument would, by necessity, have to refute that last statement, "and all the firstborn of beasts." as being added long after the event or some translation error. Can't have biblical text standing in the way of truth you know.

Aliens?
400 years ago superstition was used to explain things. People used the available technology. As time progressed and technology grew we explained things again based on the accepted science of the day. So today, being that we are exploring space it's only natural that aliens must exist. Aliens fit the current ideas of man.

Not long ago Percival Lowell claimed the "canals" on Mars were built by some intelligent beings long ago. Through a telescope he could see them. Solid evidence the canals did indeed exist. But who built them? Only one conclusion. Aliens of course. Aliens on Mars.

So with the technology we have today we make conclusions from the data gathered. Science makes no conclusions but only provides the data. It's the man, the mind, that makes the conclusions as did Percival Lowell.

These "scientific accounts" about Sodom and Gomorrah ignore another biblical statement:
Gen 19:26 But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.

Well, that's not really possible is it? I mean, nobody has ever turned into salt. Maybe it just looked like salt. Radiation does funny things. Makes creatures into monsters or Tokyo-destroying mutants or gives someone super-human powers like Spiderman. So that text must also be ignored.

Aliens and radiation explains just as much, if not more, than superstitions. We are so much smarter today. Superstitions are for the ignorant. Aliens and radiation are for the more educated, the more intelligent and all-knowing people among us. Our understanding and intelligence is limitless (given enough time of course). Who needs God?

Ah, the pride of man. He's never been able to get away from it. And it's his downfall. Every time.

Gen 3:4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
Gen 3:5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
