Some ppl come here - and I'm thinking of the Christianity and Science section (which I can't - and don't want to - enter and sign up for) and it seems they come in order systematically to doubt, mock and disparage the Bible.

Hebrews 11 says, 'Through faith we believe that the worlds were framed'.

Folks, this is supposed to be a Christian site. If ppl haven't got anything constructive to say, then it is bewildering why they even come here.

I understand that it is not for everyone to subject themselves to the "science" pedants who despise the Bible. Still, some members of the body ought to go out to temper the metal. I guess the greatest reason I can offer as to why some of us should continue to answer the "science" world is for the sake of the seeker and of them who struggle to maintain their faith, and for those who would otherwise fold to the "established" order of "science".

Scarcely will one be persuaded by sound reasoning contrary to academic conditioning, but many with an "open mind" may see that it isn't so cut and dry as they would have you think and thereby not be so quick to reject the Bible BECAUSE they see it as scientifically disproved when they only hear one side of the argument.

Even your own children and theirs will be diluted with each coming generation by the doubt cast by "science falsely so called" if we do not educate ourselves and show how what is considered "fact" is really open to interpretation of evidence and not at all as cut and dry as they say it is.

Oh I agree that we need to state the truth and the facts, yes.

Just that it's very probable that those who come here to mock and disparage would not for one moment tolerate Christians challenging them on sites designed to promote an anti-Christian agenda.

You're right. Still, the more they mock Christ now, the more he will be glorified and we vindicated at his second coming. When we subject ourselves to open mockery for throwing out lot in with Christ in an age wherein those who fear God are regarded as ignorant, unlearned, and altogether stupid; what a privilege and an honor it is to be "humiliated" for His namesake and what manner of crowns will we have earned? As it is written: He uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise and again: He reveals to babes what he hides from the prudent. The only thing that I guess pierces my conscience when I continue to contend with those whom I know will refuse to hear the truth is, as a Scripture roughly puts it:

Why should I increase their guilt? The more light you shine on wilfully ignorant ears the worse off for that person in the day of judgment. But God is the just judge. He will sort the matter.
