Why is it if some character on tv cusses, like for instance the term "A-hole" they bleep the word "hole" and allow the "A-" term? I have noticed this with other words and terms also. They allow the cuss word, and bleep the clean word.
And what is it with all these actors slipping in the middle finger? I was watching one of my favorite movies this weekend, "Sgt. York" with Gary Cooper. In the scene where he is being interviewed by his commanding officer about his actions during the big battle where he earned his Medal Of Honor, he starts out pointing with his pointing finger on his left hand, drops his arm, lifts it up again, pointing with his middle finger, almost hitting the actor in front of him with it. I've seen this in some other movies and shows. Are they thumbing their noses at the censors, their directors/producers, or the audience?
