The OT prophets approached God’s people with God’s predictions for them and for His people in the future. These Godly messages were unwelcome/irritating messages that ultimately got the prophets killed. If presented as God intended, wouldn’t repeating the Prophet’s predictions still be unpleasant messages even to God’s people today?

Heb 1:1 ¶ God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;
3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Well if the supposed phophet is not speaking according the truth of the gospel, they should be ignored. If a phophet will not allow their words to be tested according to the scriptures, they are not a prophet sent from God.

Specifically which Prophet's predictions?

sinthesis,

Christ compared the events leading up to His advent as "birth pains/travail." Most everyone looks forward to the birth of a child, but the actual labor involved can be unpleasant.

BTW are you aware that your avatar is the logo for Colossus the super computer which takes over the world in the movie 'Colossus the Forbin Project'?

I think maybe sinthesis had the same thought as I did? Do we have another group or person "claiming to hear from God" who wants to rant and rave about how God is mad at everyone?
Many false phophets use fear as a way to gain advantage of others.:shame

Hello George,

Can you please elaborate with an example?

Well we can see that some have a spirit of judging others and speaking destruction upon men in the name of the prophets. I would use the scriptures as my example;

Lu 9:54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

Many who "claim" to be speaking the judgment of God upon others, are in error and are not acting according to the Spirit of God, but a false spirit, and mans judgment.
Now to find this nonsense, one need only to look on the web, or turn on the TV with one of these angry men, "claiming" to be speaking for God.

yep

and they wouldn't listen anyway...just like in the past.

It is a mistake to think such warnings are heeded as that is most often not the case, but the opposite, that the lawlessness will increase unto very dire judgments.

If one discerns what was written in the O.T. resulted in the physical judgments and scattering of blinded Israel, it is not hard to see the dissection and scattering of present day Christiandom in the SPIRITUAL SENSE.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

1Pe 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

Yes all things have their context, and those who obey the gospel have nothing to fear from God. For as it is written;

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
