What do you think about Patriots coach Bill Bellichek's leaving the feild before the final play?

I wouldn't call him a sore loser. It seemed he actually thought the clock ran out. He came half way across the field to hug and congratulate Tom Coughlin.

It seemed a lot of people thought the clock ran out. I thought it did too, but for some reason, they added one second to the game clock.

Bill has tremendous respect for the Giants and that franchise. He was an assistant coach there for years. He and Coughlin coached there together.

With all that said, I am SO happy they didn't go undefeated. 8-)

:smt017 I'm not getting it. Why be so judgmental? Are you suggesting the Wrath of God came down on the Pats?

If one had watched and actually paid attention, the clock ran down and they actually added that one second to the clock. You could hear the announcer say they added the time to the play clock. Bill did what he had to do; he congratulated the head coach and proceeded to get off the field, just like any losing coach does in that situation.

Trust me, I wanted them to lose too. I do not think it's was fair to continue to bring up the taping incident, which happened in week one. I also don't think it was fair to announce the need for a legal investigation just days before such a big game.

Two teams played, only one could win. I'm thrilled at was my Giants! :-D I also sympathize with the losing team and their coach. There's no hate involved.

Giants fans, relish the moment; the seemingly impossible happened. Pats fans; your team isn't going anywhere for a while. Who knows, maybe we'll meet again next year. ;-)

Who is being judgemental?

It would appear that the Pats have been taping more than 1 time in 1 week.

Why is it that the rest of the team did not walk off the field? Surely they could read the game clock. He wanted to get off the field, because he did not want to be interviewed right away, etc. He was/is a sore loser.

You are and the person who wrote that article. You both seem to have a bone to pick with Bill B.

Are you referring to this year? ...or in past years? ... and how does this affect you or I? I don't bet on games, do you?

No coach or player from the losing team gets interviewed right away. The spotlight is always on the winning team. Do you know for a fact that some of the players weren't walking off the field also? Did you do a headcount? LOL Maybe he doesn't like to lose, that's his prerogative, to feel that way. None of us can change that.

There seems to be some deep-seeded hatred for Bill and the Pats in general. They cheated, they got caught. Fines and loss of a draft choice were imposed. Their unbeaten season was spoiled by my NY Giants! Justice has been served.

Let the Giants fans have their day, please.

look at Tom Brady's anger.

have some sympathy. before the game where I live, people were parked along the streets at each others houses. After the game it was like a ghost town, everyone went strait home, there were no cars on the road. we have some serious football fans, some one I know has #1patsfn on his license plate and patriots decals all over his truck, and a huge patriots helmet on his mail box. When I saw him after the game he was so sad he didn't say a word. I'm not that super extreme of a patriots fan, but I still am a pat's fan. :(

Here's the Deal with the Clock. Since the Pats had to go for it on forth down and trhe pass was incomplete as soon as the Ball fell from Moss's hands and wnet as an Incomplete, the play was dead and the Clock had to be stopped. However, When people started storming the feild, the time official just ran the last second off, which actually should have been two seconds.

Either way, if your the Head Coach of a team, you should be on he feild everyplay, regardless of whether or not that last play will make a difference. It may have been classy for Bill to go for the end of game hug, but when the game was restarted, he should have stayed.
