Special: For those of you expecting to go to heaven

Philippians 3:20~~For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;

2 Cor 5:1-2~~1 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling,

John 14:3~~"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

Heb 1:3~~And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

These two go together and are answered by the next one.

John 14:3~~"If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

And when He returns, where will He be?

Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

Where are we? According to the verse you just quoted, we will be with Him. Hmmm, kinda explains this verse...

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

Heb 1:3~~And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Hmmm, and put that verse with this passage...

Act 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
Act 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

And how will that be?

Act 1:11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

He is coming back here to hand out rewards...

Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Just as He referred to in John 14...

Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, (1) I will come again, and (2) receive you unto myself; (3) that where I am, there (4) ye may be also.

(1) He will come again. He comes back to earth.

(2) He then receives us unto Him. At that time....

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1Co 15:23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

(3) Where will He be? - On the earth...

(4) we will be with Him. - He was not kdding, we do not go to heaven, He comes back here.

We go to heaven and I stand by my post.

Php 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

For our what? Conversation? No our citizenship is in heaven...

conversation:

G4175
πολίτευμα
politeuma
pol-it'-yoo-mah
From G4176; a community, that is, (abstractly) citizenship (figuratively): - conversation.

And where are we looking for Him to come from? From Heaven...

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
1Th 4:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

He descends FROM Heaven. Why?

Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Where?

Rev 5:10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.
