2 Cor. 4:3, 4: But even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.
These are the words of Paul uses to describe our spiritual battle: For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down stronghoilds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowkledge of God, bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ ( 2 Cor. 10:3, 5). Paul mentions our imaginations, reasonings, speculations, arguments, knowledge, and thoughts because he is saying that the battleground for our souls is in our minds.
What kind of strongholds are in the mind? Prejudice is one such stronghold. A prejudice is being down on what you're not up on. Prejudices come in many forms, religious, denominational, racial, economic, and intellectual. Prejudices separate and divide the body of Christ because flesh rules the church. When strongholds of prejudice are not pulled down, you end up with a church full of self-righteous Pharissees won't let others in.
Whenever the Gospel is proclaimed, the warfare begins for the minds of people. The gospel is hidden to people whose minds are controlled by the prince of darkness, whom he has blinded lest they see the light of the gospel and be saved ( 2 Cor. 4:3, 4). And the only way that the gospel can penetrate the darkness is for the anointing of the Holy Spirit to be so strong that it drives out the prince of darkness from their lives.
Pulling down strongholds from your mind begins when you take a stand and declare that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life, your helth, your finances, your family, the Lord of all. You drive out the devil with the power of the Word of God. Commit yourself to living for the kingdom of God with all your heart, soul, mind, and body.
