STANDING IN THE GAP

1 IN the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Gen. 1:1.

There it is there. Creation.

Period.

But what happen to the earth and creation to render it "without form, and void and darkness upon the face of the deep?"

Does God create like that, without form and void and with darkness?

No, He doesn't. When God creates, He does so with meaning. And from verse one to verse two there is a Gap (of TIME.) Maybe millions of years. But from the TIME of verse two onward I'd say about six thousand years of restoring and re-creating. By the way, Lucifer and angels were created in verse one. Because Lucifer is part of this equation.

Put on your THINKING caps!

Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste,
And turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
Isaiah 24.

Take a look at the language.
It is similar to the language in Genesis 2.
After God created the heaven and the earth in Genesis 1:1 I perceive a Gap of TIME before verse 2 begins. In this Gap between verse 1 and 2 I also surmise the fall of Lucifer. The above by Isaiah leans credence to this thought.

As cherub the ministry of Lucifer was to guard the throne of God on earth. Most likely around Jerusalem. And as God cursed the earth after Adams disobedience God Himself after the disobedience of Lucifer and his angels destroys the planet and leaves it in ruins for millions of years.
Until Plan: Man begins.
Genesis 1:2 begins.

24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled,
And all the hills moved lightly.
25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man,
And all the birds of the heavens were fled.
26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness,
And all the cities thereof were broken down
At the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
Jer. 4:24–26.

"There was no man..."
The word "man" is [Strong]:
from <H119> (‘adam); ruddy, i.e. a human being (an individual or the species, mankind, etc.)

There was no Adam.
This seems to indicate God destroyed the planet because of the disobedience of Lucifer BEFORE God created man (Adam.)

When was the last time God destroyed the planet in fierce anger? BEFORE there was an [Adam]?
