We took Star to the vet today and she was worse than before. The Vet told us to keep her on her seizure medicine and the pregnizone. If she gets sick again, we will have to put her down. We won't have any more Vet appointments. There is nothing more that we can do.

The last time she was only on the above medications she got very sick...

But I can say that we gave her an incredibly loving home and a good, fun, life. She is happy and knows we love her very much.

I have peace about the situation now...So... we will see.

Dear Sister Angel, I continue in prayer for you and Matt in this situation. God can make it a healing experience regardless the outcome. I so like the thing you said about giving her an incredibly loving home and a good, fun, life. She is happy and knows we love her very much. Having peace is what it is all about, and that is the result of faith that passes understanding. God bless you in Jesus' name.

Prayers continue, Angel.

Gaining a measure of peace when it comes to the future of a loved one is a blessing. A few years ago, one of my pets caught a cold that intensified in a matter of hours. The vet said my cat indeed had a cold, and medicine would take care of the cold. However.....

That 'however' caught my breath. The 'however' meant the vet had found something unexpected: my cat's interior was one massive growth. The vet couldn't feel any of the organs...even some of the ribs were covered. Diagnosis: cancer. While the exam was going on, my cat developed breathing problems, which escalated.

Long story short: While waiting for the vet to bring in the final med (the decision was sobbingly reached to put my cat down), a measure of peace came over me. That peace could only have been provided by our Lord as He knew how I loved that cat.

And that peace stayed with me. I knew my cat had received a lot of love and care... he never worried about the security of his home or where his next meal was coming from; he had toys to play with, and hugs & plenty of affection.

None of us know the full number of days we will have. And that applies to our pets as well. But as long as we've lived our lives with the love and guidance of our Lord, and shared with those we love, then life has been rich and blessed!

Ok, so, Our Vet called me and left a message, saying that we may want to try some eastern medication for Star. My Mom is going to call her back and see what its all about. Star needs prayers still. If anything can help her, we want to do that. I just hope its not too expensive....
Thanks for caring about my little Chihuahua.

hey angel. You're in my prayers on a regular basis, especially now with the Star issues. Eastern medicine? You have a cool vet. The vets around here...not so much into eastern medicine, lol.

Please keep us updated, Angel ... I'm curious to learn what sort of eastern medication your vet has referenced.

I will.

Thanks you both, for your prayers :)

Well... I am sad because... Star is going to get severely anemic again and will pass. I've been keeping her on her meds, but they didn't really help, her blood kept getting worse and worse each time we took her to the Vet.

My heart hurts.

Please pray with me that she will pass in her sleep, and that she won't suffer. I don't know. *sigh*

Thanks for your prayers.

May God give you the comfort deserved of a loving pet owner. I'm so sorry to hear of the sorrow you're bearing at this time.
Blessings in Christ Jesus.

so sorry, Angel. You took good care of her and y'all had a good life together.

:-) You're in my prayers.

Hi Angel,
You know that I have a cat that is like a little dog. We all love him.
I know the day will come...
We brace for it but we're never ready, as I'm sure you also are not.

Having been through this, the comfort I can give you is that one feels much pain at the time, and then God is good and makes us forget the pain - although we never forget our beloved pets.

Affectionately

Good to hear. My parents' dogs are getting older, too. The man dog, Sebastian, gets seizures now and then. They have doggy Valium to give him when that happens (we should all be so lucky...).

I'll keep praying for you, Matt, and Star. Dogs and cats can be such blessings. What's strange to me is...well, they don't seem to understand that they get old. My parents' dogs, they run and jump and such just like when they were younger...and sometimes that causes problems....

Rambling. I'm glad things are getting better, and it also sounds like you have an excellent vet. :-)
