I noticed the sticky on preterism and that the thread was locked. Does this mean that the subject is not to be discussed? Im new to CF and need to clarify the point of the sticky.
:
OK thanks, I am not a full preterist, but anyone who does not believe that Rev 4v1-3 is a rapture referance might be considered a part preterist.no, we have members here who are partial preterists

not always. i dont think amillenialism fits that category.
I disagree with full preterist, and futerist, on most points. And i dont fancy most of what historicist believe either. i think most of these positions are based on longshot assumptions and i prefer to stick as closely to scripture as possable.Only a "partial" preterist? Part this & part that, we full prets say.
I am new here as well. I didn't read anything about full preterism not being allowed.
I usually only refer to preterist sites & articles. We agree with Paul in 2 Tim2:17- the "resurrection" was not proclaimed until AD70 & Paul died before it. But he was part of the "literal" resurrection of the dead- the hope of Israel.
But it's true, the "millennialists" make me feel like I was left below in some former life!
Really, it sounds that outrageous to me. Thank God I went to a church for 2 yrs. & "heard the gospel" taught about Faith from the O.T. & N.T. That's why I don't preach the devil & the bad news antichrist doctrine.
Welcome, btw
I understand your position, But there were two questions asked of Jesus at this point in Mathew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21. The first was in referance to when the destruction of the temple would take place (and was fulfilled in 67-70ad), The second was in referance to his return, which all prophacy ties to the events of the heavens, and has not yet been fulfilled.Yes, that is why I am a full Preterist. It's not only Biblically sound but it's supported by secular history also.(Roman & Jewish)
Luke 21:20-22 NIV,
20 “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.22 For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.
This was AD 67.- the abomination by the Romans.
I will be around, I disagree with dispy too.I might be picking your brain Warhorse. My thoughts are some what of the orthodox preterist vein. A million years of dispy are block up in this ol head so well see, as said before hope ya stick around...
