overnight was pretty bad but i stayed with a friend in town at her house.When its this bad i always stay with someone.

I think I'm weird. i kinda like storms. i sleep real good when it storms. And the harder it storms, the better I sleep. Now is that weird, or what?!

thats okay edward I like regular storms will even play out in the rain but it seems we get some violent ones in the spring and fall and those really scare me because Ive been through a couple tornados as if I needed something else to scar me lol.I want to get out of these woods so bad just want to be somewhere safe in more ways than one.

Tornados eh? I've been close to them. back in 72-73? I was in the ditch by the side of the road when a tornado blew the roof off of the RC Cola/7Up bottling company on Steltzer road in Columbus Ohio. You'd think I'd be scared of tornados now, but not so. I didn't die then, I prolly wont die now, besides, to die is to gain and go be with the Lord.

We was chasing our horses at the time, which got out. They were scared of the storm and ran right through the barb wire fence. Sheriff knocking on the door during the storm. Is those 3 horses running up the road yours?

A long time ago I was on my motorcycle and got hit by sort of a "mini-tornado". It was a waterspout coming across a lake and it suddenly turned towards me at the last second. I'd never been close to one so didn't realize how strong they were. Well if picked me right off the motorcycle and carried me in mid air for maybe 25 or 30 feet in the opposite direction before I landed on the ground. I absolutely couldn't believe the power in that thing, as small as it was compared to the tornadoes we see on tv! I can understand the fear of storms because even though I like "regular storms" when I'm safe inside somewhere, when riding my motorcycle around areas where there are dust devils it still terrifies me!

I had a dream not long ago...a really cool dream about tornados. I and a group of people were in a desert. A little fuzzy, but I sense that some were my friends which I know, and some were strangers but of our group. I do not know what our group was doing in the desert. Suddenly a funnel cloud (Tornado) appeared in the short distance and came right for us. I was (accidentally?) sucked up into the funnel cloud, felt a twinge of fear, but got the thought that this was of the Lord and that I should sing out praises unto Him. So I did and began saying praises unto God and Jesus. I was at that time whisked higher in the funnel cloud to the very top of it and was essentially riding it with my head and shoulders above the top and the view was sunny and calm up there with blue shies. I somewhat felt a little embarrassed to be singing out unto God in front of the group and immediately got the thought that I better not be ashamed and that I should sing out louder. So I did, and at that time I began wondering if I would be ok and somehow knew that I would. I sensed that I would be deposited back onto the ground very gently and without harm, and this is what happened, I began a descent and was put with my feet upon the ground and the funnel cloud disappeared at that time and members of my group were there again. We talked about what happened to me and I described the exhilaration that I felt while riding the tornado and that I knew it was of the Lord.

Then we were in a watery area, like at a dam or something (lakes?) the terrain was rocky and we were on the rocks. We seen a tsunami cresting the highest points of the area and there was no way that I had time to even think about climbing to safety from it. I was suddenly engulfed in water and swept away. I felt calmer this time and remember wondering if a tornado would take me up from this water. It did. A water based funnel cloud formed around me and I was taken up in it, but only about 1/2 way up the height of the tornado. I immediately sensed that I should begin singing loud praises unto God to keep myself safe from this. So I did and very loudly did so. I knew somehow that when I did that I would rise to the top as before and be able to ride this out. That is exactly what happened. I rode this water funnel cloud for a distance and then was gently put back down upon the rocks in the same area. The group was there again. Some others had been swept away also in the tsunami but I sensed that we all were there and had lost no one.

This happened perhaps 6 or 8 more times in the dream, always by the water and with water tornadoes. It got to the point that some of the tsunamis would have missed my and I could have avoided it altogether, but chose not to, and would jump into the water so that it could happen again, which it always did. It was my increased faith in the Lord that made me jump into the water, having been kept safe so many previous times. I just knew the Lord would keep me from harm. These tsunamis that would overtake us were not of the low level type like we've all seen that happened in Japan after the earthquake there, but rather a high wall of water, perhaps 100 ft high or more which came. The tsunami water was always of a muddy color and not clean water. I *think* that at one point myself and the group had discussed moving out of the area to a calmer spot and were climbing around on the rocks, but the dream goes fuzzy there and then I woke up, so am not sure on that. Wow.

I was stationed near bossier city and Shreveport. I believe the parish is called Shreveport parrish.

I lived on Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City for about 2 months back in '82. I was surprised to see Shreveport had turned into a casino town when we visited again in the '90's.

it could be brother, because we didn't move to Colorado until May of 1974. It's a long time ago and my memory is a little foggy. So we were still living there on the farm at that time.
