I've been looking forward to a game for a while: Black and White 2, where you play as a god. Ever since I heard from this guy (who I think was just being annoying) that god hates it when anything or anyone tries to impersonate god, I've been a feeling kind of guilty about wanting this game. Am I just being really paranoid, or do I have something?

You should be more concerned with those who hold political power and play 'God-king"

Many good works have I shewed you from My Father; for which of those works do you stone me? The Jews answered Him saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because thou, being a man, make thyself God. Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are Gods? (Psa. 82:6) If He called them gods unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; say ye of Him whom the Father has sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

I wouldn't be overly concerned with it. One question though, does the game have, like, people sacrificing unto you?

Gen 1:27
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
(NIV)

John 10:34-35
34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, 'I have said you are gods'?
35 If he called them 'gods,' to whom the word of God came-- and the Scripture cannot be broken--
(NIV)

Eph 5:1
1 Be imitators of God ...
(NIV)

God wants us to be like. So is playing a game in which you play the role of God a sin. How does the argument go that it is?

The answer I think comes down to it being a matter of conscience. If for some reason you feel that it is a sin to play the game, then for you it becomes a sin.

1 Cor 8:4-7
4 So then, about eating food sacrificed to idols: We know that an idol is nothing at all in the world and that there is no God but one.
5 For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as indeed there are many "gods" and many "lords"),
6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
7 But not everyone knows this. Some people are still so accustomed to idols that when they eat such food they think of it as having been sacrificed to an idol, and since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.

Why would you ask me? Seems to me that you were on the right track, (bolded part of your post). Let your conscience be your guide.
