Praise the Lord, I already have a job lined up for this summer until I go to Greece. I will be working for the cafeteria on campus like I did last summer. Here's the catch. Because I will only be there half the summer, I will not the be manager of the summer employees again. Instead, a friend of mine, Nisse, was hired. Nisse and I love each other dearly, but we have very different working personalities. It is also a little hard for me, having been at the same job for four years, and she will be above me after only one semester of work. We have talked and agree that it is a situation that needs a lot of prayer. Please pray for humility on both parts, an attitude entirely pleasing to the Lord, and that we will do our best to glorify Him in our work rather than butting heads. Thanks.

Jen, don't fret it too much. God will see you through it. It seems to be nothing more that you only being there for half the summer. I'm sure it's in the best interest that they give the position to someone who will be there the entire summer.

Keep praying.

I entirely agree that she should have the job instead of me since I will only be there half the summer. Our big worry is working together without killing each other and not making the work environment tenseful to those around us.

I too will keep this in my prayer. In the mean time, what I think you need to remember is this year your friend is the manager not you. :-? So there shouldn't be any butting heads if you humbly server under her. Let her lead, they made her manager. Now maybe you can do a better job but you need to sit that a side and do the job as she wants it done. We are to do our jobs without complaining.
