[__ Prayer __] Sunday, April 9th 2023, praying for Jesus's return

Its pretty obvious here that the world has plunged into turmoil and even considering, the end times.

But we don't know when that actually is. Some people think it's happening now. Satan is rising and the world is more chaotic than it's ever been.

However, as a Christian I think we need to be hopeful and pray things will get better. We know God will move the Heavens and mountains to make things happen. I don't want to be thinking about the end. It depresses me. I'm sure others feel the same of despair and hopelessness when people speak of the end of times.

I'm sure some of the ancient Egyptians prayed for the "wrathful sky" as they've sinned and were being plunged into chaos with no end.

But what does that say about current times? Jesus died for our sins and continues to do so. It plays over and over again like a record. We know many people in this world are just unaware of what may be transpiring and they continue to sin without remorse.

I'm sidetracking here on what I'm trying to accomplish here though.

We need to pray for Unity, Strength, Courage and the Wisdom to move forward. We need to pray that everyone has the resources they need to get through this life. We need to pray for forgiveness, pray people will repent for their wickedness and that we all can get along with one another.

Are we so broken that we cannot see for ourselves that Satan is ruler of our world at the moment? While God allows good people to be tested to the point of no return?

There is just so much hatred and misunderstanding in this world. People would rather worship the devil instead of the Lord.

I know people have different opinions here but we should pray for things to get better, not worse. Pray our problems in our lives get resolved. We can't move forward when we're stuck in the mud without any way out.

We can pray for Jesus's return and we should. We need Jesus in this time more now than ever that his soul will heals this world. We seek his help in this. let's pray for positively here.

You know how to effectively pray for the Return of the Lord and stay scriptural about it? Then just pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). Jerusalem effectively never experienced peace for any long period of time, but for most of history was always a headache. So, I figure the only way Jerusalem will have peace is for the Return of Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

In the meantime, take heart in the campus and church revivals amongst young people. I am amazed at the revival (or maybe more accurately an 'outpouring' of the Holy Spirit?) going on all over the place. Many of us have been praying for it and in this messed up world it's a breath of fresh air.
