I have very little enthusiam to vote in the election with the current school board and common core. I may just not vote or write in.if as I have heard from a reliable source, we are merely deciding which federal bureaucrat will run the program. why not just do away with the states running the schools(and counties ) and cede it a largess government entity? after all now dc is calling the shots. the school board has its hands tied.

If you take another look at the video in the OP, you'll see a list of banned words written on the whiteboard Among the words and phrases listed is "bless you". The words themselves are banned. What surprised me most about the list was that the phrase "I don't know" is banned. Doesn't this teacher realize that she works in a school where students come to learn precisely because they don't know?

Although, it seems if the school has adopted a policy like this, the banned words and phrases would not be hand-written on a white board but printed on an official school document with appropriate letterhead. If this list was in fact posted in the classroom I suspect it was probably the teacher's personal list and has no grounds for authority.

I'm questioning whether even the school could ban these words without violating the 1st amendment to the US constitution.

they can and do, and it is a small small result of a long long corrupt society and corrupt government.

last year i watched a sitting judge tell some one (who had just then been released from subjection to severe penalty because the accuser failed to show up at court on the required court appearance)
'it's your lucky day'
to which the freed one said 'i'd rather say have a blessed day your honor' ... ... ... .. ..
to which the sitting judge(smiling) replied 'well, you can say that - you don't work for the government'.

the men of Yhwh in Scripture who got punished /thrown in the fire/ thrown in the lion's den
for disobeying the authority over them
did so resting their faith in the Creator, not in the system of man's laws they were subjected to.
their trust and reliance and obedience , whether obeying or not obeying man's laws,
was to Yhwh the Creator, honoring Him and entrusting their lives to Him, not man.
