Although i can agree that church is important, mostly for fellowship, and building yourself in the Word. Fellowship is important for being with other believers, and knowing that you are not alone, and having godly friends. Nowadays, there are many ways to attend church and build oneself up. A lot of people watch on tv or the internet. Which i am one. And for fellowship i come in here. I think that church was never about the building anyway, but the people that make up the congregation

And i do not think that you are a fool. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
 
Actually the term "going to church" is inaccurate. On Sunday mornings (normally on Sunday mornings anyway) we go to what is actually a "worship service". While fellowship and and building up can happen, the main purpose for it is for us to worship God. It wasn't intended to be mainly about us. It was intended to be mainly about God.

We are the Church. (Ekklessia - the called out).

This forum is church. Talking to fellow Christians anyday of the week is church. Because the church is the body, and Christ is the head.

When i first cried out for help know one was around for support. I tell you the truth, the first 3 days after was hell. I had no sleep. I was a complete mess from some sort of mind battle. I could hear the earth rumble clearly and i seen the truth of evil and the truth of God first hand.

When i look at it now ,its like it was some sort of transformation from a lost person changing into someone else in a matter of days.

Apart from this forum i have never socialized with a christian. It makes me strong in a way. One day i might go to church for fellowship.

All i know is that i changed for the better inside myself. I see things different.

God knows where you are and loves you right there. He knows that His desire for all of us is to totally rely on Him and noone else.
I'm sorry that the first three days were rough, but God is the one that gets the Glory and your relationship with Him is stronger and more intimate. That is what He wants for us.
It's awesome that you have a connection that some people don't have. If you stay in the Word, and at least get some good teaching through many of God's very anointed preachers, then you are on the right track.
And as Obadiah said Church is for worship, and that is also something that you can do just you and God.

It's sad that there are some people that think this way. I think that it's the reason why so many Christians are not close to God, and that they're not as successful in their victorious Christian walk. We have become so busy with our everyday lives without God, that He is just an after thought to some.
The people who just "worship" once a week, are spiritually starved, because they are not feeding on the Word. And their faith is weak for the same reason.
It's just a device of the devil to hurt God, basically. Because with sin in our lives, God cannot bless us. And with our relationships with God diminishing, that hurts God as well.

Church of Philadelphia, or luke warm. I guess its the individuals choice. Nothing wrong with the Worship service itself.

And Obadiah, i have the highest respect for you so please dont take this the wrong way. You are a blessing and i know how much you love the 'worship service' you attend and that is awesome. You have passion and a great heart. You are a wonderful person.

Jesus said that he wanted us not to worship in temples or mountains, but in Spirit and in truth.

The super bowl is about the only game I watch each year. My wife who doesn't watch football at any other time of the year always looks forward to watching the game because she is not from the USA and had always heard how big of a deal it is for Americans. So she mainly watches it to see why it's such a big deal.
Although we had the game on for the entire time, I only watched one play towards the end. My son and I were busy working on some science projects for fun. We made several electro magnets and LED activated "night light" using a photo cell and an Arduino board.

I spent 4 hours with the leaders of the children ministry. that was a church. this isn't. while It can be, but uhm distant and selective presentation of character via text is really easy in forums and social media. hard to do in person.

I watched The Puppy Bowl. A lot more fun.

To tell you the truth, I was pretty sure Seattle was playing, but I had no idea what the other team was.
