Researchers in Canada have created a surgical "black box" that tracks surgeons' movements during an operation

But what about the case in Alabama where the man when in for a circumcision and they cut his whole thing off. Or about 10 years ago in Florida they cut off the wrong foot on a man and left the diseased foot on. So that black box is going to be a good thing

the black box will fail also - it's no guarantee. whether it improves anything remains to be seen, but it's very unlikely to.

That is good.Anything to decrease error.Now if it could count all the sponges and instruments that hopefully are not left in the body

Black boxes don't prevent plains from crashing, but they have been able to tell us what caused the crashes and enabled us to build safer airplanes. They don't help 100% of the time, but they do help improve things. I think it will be the same with surgical black boxes. They won't prevent mistakes, but they might help make them less common.

I agree. While I stated on the other thread that most medical costs are pills, visits and testing, I should add unnecessary surgery to that list. It's one thing for a doctor to say, Mr. Logan, that lodged bullet is a quarter inch from your brain and it looks like it'll move into it. We have to get that out or you'll die. V.S.> Mr. Logan, we can improve that double jointed popping jaw to make it open and close better (I was actually told that, despite I have no major problems or pain). And people get this idea that "because the doctor said so" makes it necessary.

OK Kathi, I think we know the difference. And that's a decision each person has to make. But I trust you are not missing my point about needless surgery, and I already gave a personal example. A lot of people go to surgery for things like that, and even more vain things than that.

it's the system that's evil.
the same system for decades routinely cut out healthy appendixes and healthy tonsils and tonsils that could have been restored to good health,
a waver had to be signed.........
then it went to breasts, and kidneys, and lungs, and hearts..... (too long a story, but the end > )

a million times a year in the usa a waver is signed. to kill a baby. that's just not right. Yhwh's judgment is due.

I agree.Years ago they used to say "Well while we are in there why don't we take a couple of things out".Then they decided that little kids did not need to have their tonsils out even though they had numerous problems with them.They have now found out that maybe they should have taken those troublesome tonsils out as a kid because as an adult they are still going to cause major complications.It is much easier on a kid to have their tonsils out than it is an adult.

I haven't had a needless surgery. I know of no doctor here that cuts for the sake of money. lawsuits. case in point. the reason my dog nearly died, is because of a simple hip surgery gone bad. imagine that was a human. and yes a hip surgery is needed. unless one wants to argue that you don't need to walk and pop pills for pain till you die. with dogs they don't repair the hip . the remove the femoral head and the muscles can work around that small bone loss.

no, that's the pat story line they give..... tonsils should stay, Yhwh put them there for a reason.

those controlled by the world system are not trustworthy concerning anything.

A friend of mine's daughter has hyper-thyroid (Graves' Disease) and all the symptoms, rapid heart beat, etc. They wanted to cut it out, and my friend talked her daughter out of it, and I concurred. No thyroid, BIG ISSUES and then man-processed pills all one's life because without the thyroid, you die. This would effectively put her at the mercy of the Pharmaceuticals if she had this done.

Like all of us here, they are looking into natural cures and proper diet, which the daughter admittedly did not follow beforehand but is now seeing the light. Everything before was a questionable diet. She's doing well so far, and pills to reduce the thyroid output are now too strong, so there's hope for it coming back to normal. So removal would be another example of needless surgery and maybe downright deadly. We are looking into other causes, not the least of which is a problem with her immune system so prevalent these days. I mean, I never remember so many kids allergic to stuff when I was younger as they are today. These man-altering foods and other stuff they have people using is turning us into a generation of genetic defects and sickly people. And then they blame it on the sun, saturated fats, salt, cholesterol, and other myths. Our ancestors ate and were exposed to that stuff, and they did not die of heart disease, cancers, and other metabolic stuff to the degree we have today. They died more from accidents and external disease, and those who did not lived to a healthy ripe old age as my genealogical research in cemeteries of decades past attest to.

so I guess homeopathy should be free then? they don't pay for electric? taxes? and water and also their homes. kids and food to eat. I passed by a natural medicine shop and have to chuckle with the anti-smart meter signage at times.

oh and I often see a chiropractor for my back. I prefer the least amount of meds and surgery I can get. if I listend to my chiropractor as he has advised me. don't serve the army, don't do mma. ok what doesn't at times bother my back? oh wait, even seeing him hasn't worked.

my wife has a had faulty thyroid since three years ago. if she was exposed to radiation. then I would have it. yet I don't. what type of radiation? alpha. beta, gamma? x ray?uv? laser, maser? all those are radiations. not to mention the light from the sun is a type of radiation. the internet uses maser and light to get the data from point to point b. maser in the form of radio signals to sattlelites and also light in the form of fiber optics and if not then we have cable and pots and high speed phone with the maser.

so if I lying or knowingly tell you plant x gives you a cure from your death bed and its not been proven, and you die? no recourse or test to see. just assume that it is natural therefore it will work? show me in the Talmud where the jews said we have cures and didn't die from diseases?its not in the torah! there is NO promise of healthy life if one eats natural.im all for looking for curse wherever and whenever but I have seen my share of hucksters.

if didn't believe in chiropractic I wouldn't do it. If i didn't believe in dog alternative medicine first for my dogs arthritis. i would haven't tried it. it didn't work. the doctor whom performed the stem cell therapy also does dog acupuncture and is being sought out for possible treatments on humans as he has treated apes and it worked.
