I have had a few moles removed from the time I was around 15. One of the moles came back pre-cancerous. They removed more skin and it came back ok, so they caught it extremely early. Nothing more was done. Over the years, I've had a few more removed and all came back ok. But I'm really worried because I haven't gone in 3 years (I'm supposed to go yearly) and I just noticed that I have a new one. I started looking at the others and I know for a fact that some have changed. It's scary because I know someone that died of melanoma and she didn't even know she had it. She was 14. Then, a lady here in town just died from it last Monday.

I'm going to call in the morning to make an appointment with the dermatologist. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers please. I'm kicking myself for not going for my yearly checkups.
 
I went yesterday to a new doctor and I really liked her. There are 2 that she wants to closely monitor. I have to go back in 6 months and if there have been any changes, she will remove them to have a biopsy done on them. I also have to have my pathology reports sent to her from when I had the pre-melanoma and she will make a mapping of where I HAD moles and where I currently have them. Then she will also note their sizes and all so we will know if anything has changed.

I have to go in on Jan 13 and have a spot on my lungs checked out, so I will think of you whenever I pray for myself. We will both be fine. God wants us to be healthy, it is not in his plan for his children to suffer illness.

OH Eve, I'll be praying for you. It's scary, isn't it? I keep reminding myself how far we've come in the medical field though and SO MUCH can be done!
