Swine Flu Same As 1918 Flu That Killed Millions

Rev. David J. Meyer says that he watched a NOVA special on National Public Television on June 17th, 2009 and that a scientist was holding a vial of the 1918 flu virus that killed millions worldwide in a huge epidemic and that this vial was clearly labeled "H1N1." It seems they let the cat out of the bag that this modern "swine flu" is in fact the exact same 1918 flu. No doubt it is being deliberately prepared to thin out the world's population by killing millions.



By the United Nations recently declaring this "swine flu" a pandemic that means that vaccine manufacturers cannot be sued. A lot of people think this swine flu vacine is being designed to deliberately spread the swine flu to millons, and that people may be forced to take it. 600,000,000 doses of this vaccine are being prepared. And who is to receive it first? Our children. Obama administration Health and Human Services commissar Kathleen Sibelius said "The target may be school-age children as a first priority." Stupidity is a poor witness for Christ. I wish that some of those Christians out there in the blogosphere would understand that. If folks like the good Reverend Meyer have enough intelligence to work Google in the first place, and one would assume they do, then can't they Google some simple facts before posting stuff that makes Christians and Christianity look like nut cases?


The flu is a virus, a living organism, which means that it is classified as all living organisms are.

Influenzavirus is catagorized in the Family Orthomyxoviridae. Within the family, there are 5 genera, or kinds of virus: Influenzavirus A, Influenzavirus B, Influenzavirus C, Isavirus, and Thogotovirus.

Within each of the 5 genera, there are various strains of flu. The strains within Influenzavirus A are catagorized by the protiens that are found in the virus, hemagglutinin (H) and neuraminidase (N). There are various types of H's and N's found in the Influenzavirus A, but only H 1, 2 and 3, and N 1 and 2 are commonly found in humans. These subtypes cause almost all flu within humans. This isn't to say that the other subtypes of the virus cannot cause an outbreak in the human population, but if there is flu present in the human population it most likely will be a variant of H1, 2 and 3, and N1 and 2.

A (H1,N1) is very common to the human population. Yes, A (H1, N1) was responsible for the 1918 outbreak and it was also responsible for the 1977 "Russian" flu out break. For those who remember the Hong Kong flu epidemic of 1968 (our whole family got sick with that one!) that was an A(H3N2) subtype of Influenzavirus A. The common "Seasonal Flu", the "bug" that tends to work it's way around each fall and winter here in the states is also an A(H3N2) virus.

The horror of the 1918 outbreak is still stamped on our memories. Most of us can remember our grandparents speaking of a parent, sibling, aunt, uncle or cousin who died in that outbreak. However, it's important to remember that the reason why so many died was because a: sanitary conditions were poor back then and b: there were no vaccines against it. Another factor that made the 1918 outbreak so bad was that so many of the soldiers of WW1 died of it, and yet the countries suppressed the news about the outbreak because they didn't want to hurt moral. So, the people were kept uninformed as to how widespread and deadly the flu was until the world was plunged into a pandemic with it.

The flu kills thousands of people each year, and when unusually virulent strains come along, like the current Swine Flu, it has the potential of killing far more. The best thing one can do, short of buying plenty of supplies and quarantining oneself for the next 8 months or so, is to get a vaccine. And, if you have a child, especially a child with a compromised respiratory systems such as asthma, then you really need to get your child vaccinated. It really can save your child's life.

For those who saw videos by David Icke warning against taking the flu vaccine, keep in mind that David Icke is the same guy who believes that the world is being controlled by Martians. Figuring How to Terrify Us Over Swine Flu

“U.S. health officials say swine flu could strike up to 40 percent of Americans over the next two years and as many as several hundred thousand could die.†So declares an Associated Press article, the writer of which you can picture trying to catch his breath as he pounds away at the keyboard. In its exclusive revelation of unpublished figures, AP says “Those estimates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) mean about twice the number of people who usually get sick in a normal flu season would be struck by swine flu.â€Â

No they don’t. The CDC’s influenza website shows they’re essentially the same.

Welcome to the wonderful world of swine flu hysteria, in which health agencies – be it the World Health Organization (which declared a worldwide pandemic with just 244 deaths) or the CDC – can tell any scary story they want with the assurance that the mainstream media will never challenge them. That includes pointing to a piglet and proclaiming it to be a wild, raging boar.

It seems that to ask a journalist at the nation’s largest wire service to merely spend a few minutes on a single website or even to simply ponder what he’s just typed is to ask too much.

Thus, the CDC’s influenza website states that “on average 5 percent to 20 percent of the population†contracts flu each year which, save for the hapless souls who contract it two seasons in a row, would be the same as “up to 40 percent of Americans over the next two years.â€Â

Yet AP’s writer, still on that adrenaline rush, declares that while “in a normal flu season, about 36,000 people die,†that “because so many more people are expected to catch the new flu, the number of deaths over two years could range from 90,000 to several hundred thousand, the CDC calculated."

Really? Let’s do our own calculations.

Five to 20 percent of the U.S. population comes out to 15 to 60 million people. The CDC actually provides those figures, thereby sparing the arithmetically-challenged. Swine flu has infected "more than 1 million Americans, the CDC believes,†AP informs us, with “302 deaths."

Now just keep that calculator holstered for a minute, pilgrim! Do 302 swine flu deaths out of “more than 1 million infections,†given what we now know about seasonal flu deaths, seem alarming?

Okay, now grab the calculator and divide those “more than 1 million infections†into the 302 deaths. The fatality rate is less than 0.03%.

How much less? The CDC first used the “one million†figure over a month ago. Either there have been a lot of new infections in that time, meaning the death rate has indeed fallen well below 0.003%, or else there have not been – which is also good news.

But let’s be sporting and use an even million.

Dividing “15 to 60 million infections†into 36,000 deaths provides a seasonal flu death rate ranging from 0.006% to 0.024%. That’s twice to eight times the swine flu death rate.

Are you still getting out the plastic sheeting and duct tape?

Ah, but AP has another explanation for the potentially high toll. It’s if “a new vaccine and other efforts fail.â€Â

Far more likely than an outright failure would be what’s called a “mismatch.†That means the vaccine gives only partial coverage. Still, some of those vaccinated would not become infected and therefore neither die nor infect others, who in turn would neither die nor infect others. So even a mismatch could considerably lower deaths.

Moreover, lest we forget in our haste to produce front-page material, there’s no swine flu vaccine now. Will a “failed†vaccine somehow make swine flu more lethal?

Conclusion: The CDC is playing the same games it did with heterosexual AIDS, SARS,and avian flu – promoting panic far out of proportion to the problem. I wrote exposes on each of those scares at the time. The “secret?†Checking sources, putting facts before fear mongering, and keeping a sense of perspective – right next to the calculator.

Why the CDC promotes such hysteria is another story. But safe to say that amongthe reasons are that it knows the media have little interest in the fairy tale called “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.â€Â

For the American public, that’s very unhealthy indeed.

David Meyer is NOT stupid. His ministry has reached millions of people, and been a great encouragement to many, many Christians. You should familiarize yourself with Last Trumpet Ministries, before you go
judging his abilities.

As for Google providing facts, HAH! I'm guessing you believe all that Wikipedia and Snopes puts out, too.
I hope not, but, I'm thinking you might.

Wrong again. The thing that kills people, when they get the flu, IS NOT, I repeat, IS NOT the flu itself.
It is the pneumonia they get, afterwards.
Get a pneumonia vaccine, but, don't go running down to Walgreen's for your flu vaccines in hopes that you will be protected.
Keep yourself HEALTHY, exercise, take vitamin supplements, and pray, and stay in God's will.
