Amo 9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:

Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

The ark is no longer in Moses’ Tabernacle it has been recaptured and is being moved. It is no longer in the Holy of Holies. It is being carried over the mountains and valleys etc.

David pitches a tent

2Sa 6:17 And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

We know this is kinda out in the open because , I picture this tent to be very simple what we today would call an awning

2Sa 6:16 And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

The lord’s dwelling place was the Mercy Seat (the top part of the ark)

Num 7:89 And when Moses was gone into the tabernacle of the congregation to speak with him, then he heard the voice of one speaking unto him from off the mercy seat that was upon the ark of testimony, from between the two cherubims: and he spake unto him.

No longer was God hidden form the every day folks.. The arc was no long hidden but in the midst of the people. I see a strong picture of Christ….

Exo 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.

Exo 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Now we are blessed to have to New Testament. We are no longer separated from our God.

If i were a scholar i am sure this could be put out there much more complete and better. Please read the idea and not just my simple words....

What is so interesting about the tabernacle of David being restored is that it is for all nations...we Gentiles. :)

Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:
Act 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things.

give me some time i want to go the sages on that, even in the days of david theres was only a select few that could touch and minister . rosh hoshanna was done when there was a tent.

remember touching the ark and not being a levite or cleansed by the lord in ritual meant death.

2Sa 6:6 And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.
2Sa 6:7 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.
This and others but this is not the Tabernacle of David but the Ark of the Lord.... What do you know/understand of the TofD?

the mercy seat is only the ark

read exodus. and it also was where the chanukah miracle pointed too. the shummah (the messiah ) candle by symbol wick was pointed at the holy of holies where the mercy seat is
2 samuel with rashi comments 7:6
For I have not dwelt in a house from the day that I brought up the children of Israel out of Egypt, to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.ו. in a tent: The tabernacle of Shiloh did not have a ceiling but consisted of a stone edifice below and curtains above.

amos 9:11

points to the house of david

11. On that day, I will raise up the fallen Tabernacle of David, and I will close up their breaches, and I will raise up its ruins, and build it up as in the days of yore.On that day: And, after all these will befall him, that day will come, the day destined for the redemption, and thereon…I will raise up the fallen Tabernacle of David: Jonathan renders: the kingdom of the house of David.

and dun dun

agrees with me!
acts
Verse 15. And to this agree the words of the prophets
Peter had asserted the fact of the conversion of the Gentiles; and James shows that that fact was the fulfilment of declarations made by the prophets. Verse 16. After this I will return, and will build again, These two verses, 16th and 17th, are quoted from Amos 9:11,12, nearly as they now stand in the best editions of the Septuagint, and evidently taken from that version, which differs considerably from the Hebrew text. As St. James quoted them as a prophecy of the calling of the Gentiles into the Church of God, it is evident the Jews must have understood them in that sense, otherwise they would have immediately disputed his application of them to the subject in question, and have rejected his conclusion by denying the premises. But that the words were thus understood by the ancient Jews, we have their own testimony. In Sanhedr. fol. 69, we have these remarkable words: "Rabbi Nachman said to Rabbi Isaac, 'Whence art thou taught when Bar Naphli will come?' He saith unto him, 'Who is this Bar Naphli?' The other replied, 'He is the Messiah.' 'Dost thou then call the Messiah Bar Naphli?' 'Yes,' said he, 'for it is written, In that day I will build again the tabernacle of David, HANOPHELETH, which is falling down.'" This is evidently a quotation from Amos 9:11, and a proof that the Jews understood it to be a prophecy concerning the Messiah. See Lightfoot.

so thats been built and that was jesus,

and also the hebrew commentary can be found on chabad.org

lol. its the HOUSE OF DAVID, HIS throne being occupied once again. meaning that when amos was writing as he was a contemporay of isiah god was forewarning that isreal would be without a king and that he would in time restore the king to the throne after the exile.

hmm when did that happen?

when jesus entered jerusalem and fulfilled that verse behold thy king cometh on a colt

a tabernacle can also mean:

house
the tabernacle that housed the ark
and also a family name

the later is what is stated.

read acts and the commentary by adam clarke and what also being talked about. you are looking forward to what we are already have!

the jews say this is the third temple where the gentiles will be part of the temple system.hmm

didnt that happen already at the cross?:yes
