Talking funny

Some people just don't talk right.
Are they trying to speak English or does their translator not do a good job?

Let's check it, right? Translator input:
I've enjoyed the comments that have been posted here and especially liked the posts that I clicked "like" for. Since this goes without saying I can only leave it to your imagination as to why I am saying it.
IRISH TRANSLATOR:
Ah've enjoyed de comments dat 'av been posted 'ere an' especially liked de posts dat oi clicked "like" for. Since dis goes withoyt sayin' oi can only leave it ter yisser imaginashun as ter why scon are sayin' it.

The online translator has other options available including the "Jolly well spoken" translation, old bean.
But it wasn't much fun. So what to do to talk funnier? What about taking the output of the Irish and translating it to regarding the input faculation and regarted aeget? Now that's an idea that not many will try...

No-one talks funny here. There's just many different regional dialects represented. :)

What I really dislike is texting. Trying to read some peoples texts is like reading code, lol. I have been complimented many times for not using sms shorthand by people.

I hear you on that! When my daughters text me using code, failing to use proper grammar, or failing to use punctuation within reason of course I respond with, "What?"

I love this thread... MODS, wanna move it maybe? We can talk funny forever that way, right?

GRUMBLING OLD BIRD . o O (Awk! Oar, Oi cud o-pun me own if'n Oi hasta)
Talking funny online is really easy. Ever type ---> eiyh onr hsnf on yhr etonh kryd?
translation: with one hand on the wrong keys?

I've done it but never done it here for fear that the Mods might say I was typing gibberish and calling it tongues. But every time I do it, that crosses my mind (or what is left of my mind, that is)

Yeah, this is better in the Lounge.

More than different accents though, even words or phrases are so different down under compared to the US.
